With a heavy heart and bloodied hands, the young girl stared at the mess of corpses laid out in front of her. Somewhere deep inside of her, she felt remorse. These bodies used to be people. They used to be alive. Now, they were a simple mass of dying flesh and diseased brains.
The world is now inhabited by the undead. Walkers, Biters, Lamebrains, whatever you want to call them. They now inhabit any mass of land they can get to.
In this life, you can no longer trust anything with a brain that works. Humans take any chance they can to have shelter, to have food. Either it be killing those who have what they need, or simply stealing it. No one is innocent. The young girl just had to remember that. The world isn't how it used to be; The world will never be how it used to be.
The girl couldn't even count on her fingers the amount of people who have came into her life, only to die shortly after. It wasn't because there barely were any, it was because there were too many.
She drifted from group to group, hoping to find the shelter and security she needed. Every group she encountered had died off, they were either killed, or died from hunger. She only had one thought keeping her moving, you need to find your father.
That thought has yet to be shown any signs of the man living, yet that didn't stop her. The stubbornness she had inherited by the older man had kept her going. When she stumbles across a prison filled nearly to the brim with people, she was apprehensive. How could that many people live in one place? But she slowly found herself latching herself to the thought of her father being there. She had to get inside.
A young boy helps her cope with the new lifestyle.
Her father helps keep her grounded.
Her group keeps her alive. But what if it's all far too late for the girl?
