When Phoenix woke up, she had no clue as to where she was. She looked around slowly trying to piece together the location she was in when it clicked. The prison. That's where I am.
The youngest Dixon walked out of the cell she had been staying in to see an older woman. "Oh I see you're finally awake, well, my name is Carol. "
"Phoenix," the girl replied shortly, "Do you have anything I can eat?"
Carol nodded and handed her a granola bar. Phoenix just nodded in thanks.

The Grimes boy was very confused as to why his father let this, girl, that they didn't even know into the prison. Let alone let her stay! He was angered, of course, but he couldn't deny how beautiful the girl actually was. She definitely hadn't been alone this whole time.
Carl was having a hard time collecting his thoughts with the Dixon child taking a "refuge" in the prison. For some reason he couldn't take his mind off of her. He just knew somewhere in the back of his mind he had to protect her at all costs. The strawberry blonde was making his vision loopy. Her captivating light, green eyes had splashes of blue in them, reminding him of moss and ocean water. Carl didn't understand why everything about this girl was so god damn captivating. He was going insane thinking about her.
While walking around the prison he had found him self in the cafeteria, and there she sat. The girl he couldn't stop thinking about. She was talking to his father. About what, he had absolutely no clue.
"Do you really wanna go on a run? You just got here."
"Yes, I just need to pick up some.......things."
Carl stood bewildered. His own Father who doesn't even let him go out on runs alone was letting a complete Stranger go out by herself, and he wasn't going to stand for it.

"What!" She outraged.
"Yeah, my dad wants me to go with you."
The Dixon growled in protest. "I'm better off going on my own."
She felt the intensity of what she said rumble through her chest.
"I'm going, and you can't stop me. "
Fuck, Fuckity, Fuck, Fuck, Fuckerson. Now this douche is going on this "run" with me. Perfect, Fan-Freaking-Tastic.
What am I going to do?! I need to shift to even open up the gates.
She was in heavy thought all the way to a small farm. Carl was feeling very.....awkward. He felt guilty for lying to her, but he needed to go with her.
And he was just about to find out just exactly why she didn't want him going along with her.
