The next morning, I woke up before Kai or Nyx and Briar. I lay there watching Kai sleep for a few minutes with pain in my heart before I felt resolve stiffen my spine. No. I would not do this. I would not spend the next years always crying and worrying about what the future held. I was going to banish it to the back of my mind and enjoy my time with my family while I was here with them.

Kai's eyes fluttered open, and he looked at me curiously before yawning loudly. "What are you doing up first? How long have you been awake?" He asked softly, and I shook my head with a smile.

"I just woke up a few minutes ago" I assured my husband who was still looking at me like I might be sick. "I love you." I pressed my lips to his and felt happiness fill my chest when he laughed and tugged gently, so I ended up sprawled across his chest.

"Well someone is feeling amorous" Kai noted, "I always wake up a bit before the twins, so we have a few minutes."

We had just finished a quick but tender lovemaking session when there was a knock on the door with a petulant "Daddy" coming from our bathroom.

I laughed loudly while Kai scrambled around trying to find pants so he could go see to his daughter who had inherited his need to be up with the sun.

"You could get dressed" Kai teased with a grin and a wink.

"She asked for you" I pointed out, sticking my tongue out at him and he made a soft growling sound. He had moved so that he could suck on my tongue before I had even realized. "We don't have time" I whispered after he had kissed me deeply.

Kai opened his mouth but was interrupted by another petulant "Daddy!" Only this one was a slightly higher pitch. Kissing my forehead, Kai finally pulled on a pair of pants and walked across the room to open the door to our baby girl. "Daddy locked door" Nyx scolded, and I laughed loudly, tying the robe Kai had given me as a wedding present closed. Sitting back down on the edge of the bed I grinned at my sleepy, rumpled baby girl.

"Bad Daddy" I agreed, and Nyx nodded while making a hmph sound.

"Well, you know what they say" Kai murmured with a wink, "the villain always wins."

"Daddy that stupid" Nyx scolded, and I lost it, laughing so hard that I was crying while Kai stood there staring down at our daughter with an incredulous expression.

And so ends 'The Villain Always Wins,' amusingly with Kai getting told off by his own daughter XD

Don't worry, there will be another, but it will be more of from the point of view of the grown up kids ^^ The one after that will be from Artemis's point of view again (spoiler alert XD)

I could have continued this one, but I feel like what happens next will be better once the kids are grown up (and I've skipped around enough to get them to become toddlers lol. I don't think 'oh hey they're magically teenagers' in the next chapter would be alright. I'd make fun of it XD {but only because I wrote it})

And yes, there will be flashbacks to when they were adorable and younger, and also when they were pranking Kai because they're all going to do that mwahahahahahahaha. Kai hates "younglings" for a very good reason and that's all I will say on that subject for now. Well and bahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahaha....but that is all.

So, on the to do list: finish editing Muted, edit The Villain Always Wins, then get the next books in those adventures started. ................................... ....................sadly knowing me it will probably take forever so I'm sorry T-T please don't hate me. Hate Kai, it's his fault (not really but I'm blaming him anyway mwahahahahahaha)
