"Bloom, I'm going to go out for a little bit." Amelia tells Bloom as she slips on her shoes.

"Where are you going?" Bloom asks examining Amelia's clothing.

Instead of wearing what she had on earlier she changed into her black basketball shorts, a white camisole along with a Nike sports bra.

"Play ball with Jaxson," Amelia answers hesitantly as she ties her hair into a ponytail.

"How do you even know him?" Bloom asks looking at her friend trying to fill in the blanks.

"We've been friends with him for a few years." she replies answering Bloom's question.

"How come I haven't met him until now?" she asks looking closely at Amelia who was grabbing a bottle of water out of their mini fridge.

"You ask a lot of questions man," Amelia says with a smile on her face.

"I barely asked two questions." Bloom states looking at Amelia with a stank face.

"I'll answer them all when I get back." Amelia tells Bloom grabbing her keys walking towards the door.

"You suck!" Bloom exclaims as Amelia proceeds walking to the door leaning against the frame.

"And you swallow," Amelia says laughing as she blows a kiss towards her best friend.

Bloom catches it and throws it in the trash can next to her bed making them both erupt into laughter.

"You better tell me later, and have fun with your little boyfriend." Bloom says teasing Amelia picking up on their connection earlier.

"No boyfriend, so what do you mean?" Amelia asks looking at her friend wanting her to clarify.

"You seem to have a connection with him." Bloom states remembering how the two individuals conversed with one another.

"Yes because we're friends." Amelia says justifying Bloom's previous statement.

"If you say so sweetheart," Bloom tells her in return as she lays back down grabbing her laptop in the process.

"Whatever, I'll see you later on." Amelia says opening the door and walking out to meet Jaxson.

As she's walking towards the gym on the other side of school, she thinks about what Bloom said to her about Jaxson and herself.

"Your girlfriend is finally here," Shawn, one of Jaxson's friends say to him once they see Amelia walking into the gymnasium.

"Hey," Amelia greets once she sees Jaxson and Shawn talking amongst themselves by the door of the indoor basketball court.

"Hey beautiful," Shawn says to Amelia trying to get under Jaxson's skin.

"Don't you have somewhere to be?" Jaxson asks annoyed by his friend's actions.

"As a matter of fact I don't." Shawn states smirking at Jaxson knowing he was getting upset.

"I'll see you later Shawn." Jaxson tells him with all seriousness trying to get him to leave them alone.

Amelia just watched the two males confused as to why there is so much tension in the area.

"Later," Shawn says laughing lowly to himself as he shakes Jaxson's hand.

Both Amelia and Jaxson watch him as he leaves before saying anything to each other.

"What was that about?" Amelia asks as Shawn walks out the building with his duffle bag in hand.

"Nothing, you ready to get dunked on?" Jaxson asks her not giving her the answer she was looking for.

"In your dreams pretty boy." Amelia states in a teasing manner making the tension ease out of the room.

"Don't play," Jaxson says with a smile on his face, now dribbling the ball that is in his hands.

Both of them happened to be thinking about how their friends could possibly be right about the connection they share.

"Ball," Amelia demands glancing at Jaxson.

"No way princess," Jaxson calls out as he starts dribbling up the court.

The two continue to play the game which they both have passion and love for.

After thirty minutes went by they were nearing the end, and Amelia happens to be behind Jaxson by three points.

Missing the shot Jaxson runs trying to catch his own rebound, but out of luck Amelia snatches up the ball dribbling past him to her goal.

Before Jaxson can block Amelia's shot she throws the ball from the three pointer line.

"She shoots, she scores!" Amelia yells happily as the buzzer goes off.

"Don't get so cocky, we're tied." Jaxson tells her mentally doing a happy dance as he wipes the beads of sweat off his face.

"Good game," Amelia states lifting her shirt up a little revealing her freckled stomach as she wipes sweat off.

"Gave me a run for my money this time." Jaxson says causing them both to crack a smile.

Allowing themselves to hydrate and recollect themselves the space grew silent. Thinking of their agreement earlier today Amelia decides to truly talk to Jaxson alone without Bloom interrupting.

"Jax, can we talk about earlier today?" Amelia asks with the slightest bit of hesitance.

Jaxson walks closer to Amelia, so no one can get the chance to eavesdrop on their conversation.

"I don't understand why you just won't let me pay for it." Jaxson tells her his lips slightly parted from each other.

"I don't want to feel like I owe you anything." Amelia tells him in a hushed tone.

"Mellie, this is not some game. It's real life, and I don't want you to have any part in it." Jaxson states honestly feeling deeply conflicted with the situation at hand.

"I can handle myself and so can Bloom." Amelia tells him as he kisses his teeth at how she's acting.

"I never said that you couldn't Amelia." he replies moving from her to grab his things ready to leave.

"Jax, you trust me right?" she asks him glancing at his retreating figure.

"Yes," he tells her not looking in her direction knowing she'll get her way.

"Let me do it then." she demands more than asks taking in his lightly colored skin.

"Fine, but the first sign of trouble you and your friend are out." he tells her some what compromising.

"You got a deal boss man." she states giving him a quick smile before giving him an all too familiar look.

Instead of fighting his desire to run from her, he bends down letting her hop onto his clamy back after giving her his bag.

"You know this isn't going to be as easy as it might seem?" Jaxson asks gripping both her legs before walking out.

"You're talking to me Jax," Amelia tells him wrapping her caramel colored arms around his neck keeping herself from falling.

"What's that supposed to mean?" he asks confused as the walk out of the building after getting a few stares.

"I already found a building for us to use." she tells him feeling proud of her accomplishment.

"We barely discussed it four hours ago." Jaxson states shocked by her determination with this plan.

"Have to be on your game at all times." she tells him with a smirk on her face.

"Isn't that what you taught me?" she asks before he can even reply to what she said before.

"When do we go check it out?" he asks completely ignoring what she said before even though he was satisfied with her response.

"Tomorrow," Amelia says thinking of the small building.
