I looked around the empty halls at my highschool. Where is everybody? I wondered. I took a few steps forward and felt a cold chill on my back. The science room was right next to me, the door looked nice compared to the walls. Whispers came from the room, I leaned in closer to hear what was going on, suddenly the sounds just stopped.
I started to speed walk to the cafeteria, maybe everyone was in there. The cafeteria was always the most scariest to me, the school had it far away from where everybody usually was.
"It is really dark," I whispered to myself, while sliding on the floor with my blue flats. I tried to get to the cafeteria as fast as I could, and tried not to look back. Out of breath because I ran the rest of the way there, I was terrified of what I saw.
"What...is," I said to myself. My heart was racing, I tried rubbing my eyes trying to make it all could go away. I gulped, stepping backwards, where am I really?
"Y/N wake up, you're going to be late!" My mom yelled.
My skin felt like jumping off it's body, because of how fast I swung forward. Tears ran from my eyes, I was just glad the dream was done. This was the first time I've ever gotten a nightmare this bad. I grabbed some clothes from a huge pile I had laying on my white dresser. I ran to my bathroom that was right next door to my room and didn't even look back.
I came walking down the hallway once I was done. The apartment I lived in was pretty small, and cluttered since my we just moved in here.
"Hey honey," my mom said while pouring the eggs on my sisters plate and mine.
Since my parents have gotten divorced, my dad kept our old house and my mom moved us into this apartment. The apartment did not feel at home at all, and I would have rather stayed with my dad, thank goodness my mom didn't win full custody."Hi Mom, I um have a question," I told her. She looked up from her plate and gave me all her attention.
"Ok what is it?" She smiled and looked at me. She was trying to hard, we don't usually get along, and since the divorce she knows that I've always loved my dad more because he would never yell at me like she did.
"Do you feel uncomfortable in this house, kind of like a strange feeling that you're not alone?" I asked being as serious as I could ever be. I stood standing by the table waiting for an answer and all I got was silence.
"Sweetie maybe you are ju-," she started.
"No I mean mom do you feel like this place may be haunted?" I asked her.
"Y/N, I don't know what your talking about, please sit down and eat," she demanded and gave me an im-not-messing-around look.
I didn't want to start a fight in front of my nine year old sister so I listened to her and ate what was on my plate.
