After that Yerin went to wash up.
But she couldn't get rid of the fish sauce smell.
It was too strong.
She walked into her next class late.
And drew attention.
Everyone was looking at her in disgust.
Because she smelled really bad.
Yerin ignored them and walked to her seat.
While Eunji, and her friends were secretly giggling.
Yerin clenched her fist, ready to punch someone, holding in her anger.
Then she went to math class, which Taehyung was in with her.
She got there early.
Yerin put in her headphones, and put her head down.
Hoping that everything will be back to normal when she woke back up.
But she was wrong.
Taehyung was never normal.
Taehyung walked up to her and scared her.
Yerin: Ah!
Taehyung laughed.
Yerin looked up at Taehyung annoyed.
Then she stood up and walked out of the classroom.
Taehyung was worried so he followed Yerin.
Yerin walked up to the school roof.
And laid down on one of the benches.
She was about to close her eyes when she saw Taehyung's big head above hers.
Yerin: Ah!
(She said scared. As she pushed Taehyung away and sat up.)
Taehyung: This is what you do when you're stressed out? Hoping that when you wake up, everything will go back to normal?
Yerin: What?! Pshh.. Anniyo.
(She lied.)
Taehyung: Araso. So what are you doing up here?
Yerin: I'm tired of learning.
Taehyung smiled.
Taehyung: Then can we be up here wen we're both tired of learning?
Yerin: Sure. I'll probably be up here a lot. For other reasons too..
Taehyung: Araso. I'll do the same.
(He smiled looking at Yerin.)
But Yerin wasn't looking at him.
Instead, she was looking at the clear blue sky.
Then she laid back down. And closed her eyes.
A few minutes later Yerin fell asleep.
Taehyung noticed and smiled at her.
Taehyung: If we ever date.. After knowing what I really am, you'll probably break up with me.
(He said as his smile turned into a sad frown.)
He gently pushed Yerin's hair behind her face.
Taehyung: No one really knows what I am. But if they do, they hate me. Even my mother hates me and my father, after knowing what we both really were.
(He said as a tear drop fell.)
It landed on Yerin's forehead.
Which made her wake up.
Yerin opened her eyes to see Taehyung still there.
She quickly sat up.
Yerin: Wha- ... Are you.. crying?
(She said looking at Taehyung.)
Taehyung: Huh?.. uh..
(He quickly wiped away his tear.)
Anniyo! Why would I cry.
(He faked a smile.)
Yerin: You really were crying. Why?
Taehyung: Well didn't we say that when we come up here, we have our reasons?
Yerin nodded her head.
Taehyung: I came up here thinking how people would act if they really knew what I was.. but why would I think anyway.. everyone acts the same.
(He frowned, then forced a smile to Yerin.)
Yerin: Araso.
(She said standing up, about to leave.)
Taehyung quickly stood up and grabbed her wrist.
Taehyung turned her around and hugged her. While crying really hard.
Yerin was shocked.
Yerin: Wha.. What are you doing?
(She said confused.)
Taehyung: Please don't leave me..
(He begged.)
Yerin: What do you mean?
Taehyung: Nevermind.
(He said letting go of Yerin.)
You can leave if you want, it's your choice. I thought you were different.. But..
Yerin: I'll stay.
(She said taking a step closer towards Taehyung.)
Taehyung was surprised.
Then Yerin hugged Taehyung tightly.
"Why am I doing this?"
"What's wrong with me?"
Yerin asked herself in her head.
Moments later Yerin and Taehyung sat back down on the bench.
Yerin: So.. Tell me, why were you crying earlier?
Taehyung: If I tell you, you'll probably leave me too. You'll be scared of me.
Yerin: I said, I'll stay.
Taehyung: Its because I'm not a human..
Yerin was confused.
Yerin: Huh?.. What do you mean?
Taehyung: I'm.. A.. Vampire.
Yerin: Huh?
(She said shocked.)
So will you suck my blood?!
Taehyung: Anniyo.
Yerin: Huh? Really Wae?
Taehyung: We only drink animals blood. After finding out that humans blood can kill you.. And I don't want to drink your blood.
Yerin: Why?
Taehyung: Because if I do. Then you'll die. And I don't want that to happen.
Yerin was still shook.
Yerin: Does anyone else know about this?
Taehyung: Anniyo. Except for you, Jimin... And another person.
Yerin: If Jimin knows, then why is he still your friend?
Taehyung: Its because.. We're both vampires. But no one knows.
Yerin: Then why were you crying earlier?
Taehyung: My eomma.. Left me and my father after finding out that we were both vampires..
Yerin patted Taehyung's shoulders lightly.
Taehyung: And I'm scared.
Yerin: Huh?
(She looked up at Taehyung.)
Scared of what?
Taehyung: I'm scared that you'll leave me too.
Yerin: It doesn't matter what you are.. or who you are.. The only thing that matters is how you treat other people. And that's what other people can't see.
(She smiled.)
Taehyung: You're right.
(He said with a real smile this time.)
