Fire-fighting type commemerate 9/11?

Do Pokemon's fire-fighting types commemorate the loss of 9/11? Lets discuss.

It came to my attention that 3 out if 6 of the fire starters are fire-fighting, and I kept think thing to myself why? This is weird as the other types have quite a lot of change in the duel typing.

Gen 3, which is the first gen fire-fighting was introduced was released in 2003. 9/11 was in 2001. Seeing as gen 2 was released in 2000, Pokemon was probably still in the 'creation' phase, where they were still creating new Pokemon.

The atmosphere at that time was: 1) Blessing America 2) A general distaste or immigrants 3) Praising firefighters as the true heroes.

Has these duel types been Pokemon's way of commemorating the firefighters that saved hundreds if lives in 9/11? Well, until Nintendo reseated the info, it's just a theory. Well, see ya all later.
