Honestly, it is. It's funny how people come and go into and from your life so rapidly, given the circumstances. How quickly they can take up on your offer of companionship, but they want something more.
What more can you give?
Things may have been a lot easier before all of this happened. If only we had listened to the foreshadowing of this "Armageddon", and catastrophic impact that ensued. But right now, you don't have the choice of who you encounter in this strange and unfamiliar world. Whether it be a person with good or bad intentions, it is not up to you. You don't get to decide anything anymore. No one does. The world may be against you at this time and the conclusion may be indefinite- but trust me. You may justifiably have a equivocal attitude about the world... the pain and misery enforced on mankind, and as a result there was a substantial and incomprehensible decline in population within the regions of any and every country.
Worldwide devastation followed, and so did the zombies.
