My morning began normally. Or at least as normally as it ever did at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Especially considering my classmates say I'm one of the strangest students here.

I'm Faye Lazuli. I'm fourteen, and in my fourth year at Hogwarts. It was just after Christmas break, so it was the most boring time of the year. I said I was one of the strangest students here, and at the time, I wasn't even doing anything exciting. I was just going to ask Professor Flitwick to ask about more homework. I'm extremely curious about everything, even by Ravenclaw standards. I'm always asking my head of house, Professor Filius Flitwick about everything: Homework, legends, creatures, rumors. This trip wasn't particularly exciting. Or at least I thought so until I heard; "Faye! Oh I'm so pleased to see you! I've just heard the most interesting thing!" I turned around. Luna Lovegood was hurrying toward me.

Luna is my cousin and best friend. She's the other strange girl. It only makes sense that we would be best friends. "Hello, Luna" I said.  "What's going on?" Luna took a breath, her eyes shining. "I've just had a letter from Daddy. He told me about a potion, a really rare one wizards haven't been able to recreate for centuries, and he said it's somewhere here at Hogwarts!" This got my attention. I love searching for things, and the fact the Luna's father told her makes it even better.

Most people don't believe Luna's ideas, or what her father writes in The Quibbler, which is his newspaper/magazine. As far as I know, we're the the only two at Hogwarts that read it. "What's this potion called?" I asked Luna. "It's called Oraculi Somnia. It's a potion that makes your dreams tell the future!" she said. A rush of excitement surged through me. I've been taking Divination for two years already, but it's the only class I'm not very good at, and can't practice very easily. I could tell Luna would like to have this potion  a lot too. We would share it when we found it. "All right. When and where should we start looking?"
