Reader's POV
I'm fucked.
Currently, I was floating around in space in a terribly small Galra pod. I've sent out multiple distress signals but no one has come, thinking it was a trap.
Looking out of the windows, my Galra ears flutter, aware of all of the sounds. If this pod gets damaged I'm as good as dead.
Sighing, I mutter, "isn't this the absolute best? First getting tortured by the druids for not being loyal to the Empire then being stranded out in space!" Blowing a strand of my hair out of my face, I quickly grow bored.
"What are the chances the Defenders of the Universe actually stumble upon my sad pod?" I snicker to myself.
-Timeskip-
"Well, quiznak!" I exclaim, laughing at the end of my sentence.
I am currently handcuffed, sitting in the Castle of the Lions with the Paladins of Voltron surrounding me, including two Alteans.
"Who are you? What is your relation to the Empire? What is your rank in Zarkon's army?!" a dark skinned Altean questions me.
"Princess, calm do-" The leader says before I cut him off.
"The name's (Name). Currently, Zarkon wants my head due to my betrayal towards the Empire. My rank WAS commander, but that was soon stripped away." I answer calmly.
"Are you part of the Blade of Marmora?" The Red Paladin asks.
"No, but I was hoping to reach them. That didn't work out, obviously." I state.
"Why did you.. Betray Zarkon?" The leader asks.
"I didn't agree with his actions. I was born into being a soldier for the Empire. I don't remember much of my younger years, except training to become the perfect soldier. My fighting skills and quick thinking got me into the top ranks. I soon found out how... corrupted our race is. So, I tried to overthrow them from the inside. It was a bad idea, considering I didn't have any allies." I explain.
"How do we know you are not lying?" The princess asks skeptically.
"Guess you don't." I shrug.
Everyone states at me blankly, expecting me to try and prove myself. I close my bright yellow eyes and take a deep breath. I should get on their good side if I were to ever hope to take down the Empire.
"Look," I start, pausing to collect my thoughts, "I would appreciate help in taking down Zarkon. I know their current plans, their passwords to hack into their systems, and the commanders' weaknesses. Now can I join you in the fight for destroying the Empire?" I ask.
The princess looks at me skeptically.
"I feel like I've seen you somewhere before." She says slowly.
My eyes widen just a fraction before I put on a blank face.
"A lot of the Galrans (A/N: Galrans.. Galras? I don't know) look alike." I state as calmly as I can.
The leader, or Black Paladin if you will, looks around at everyone then back at me.
"We would appreciate all the help we can get. Just don't go back on your word." He says.
I nod and the tense atmosphere calms down a little. The princess stares at me for a little longer then uncuffs me, then proceeds to slowly walk back to where she stood previously. Everyone was staring at me, anticipating my attack.
