You and Matt were laughing in the lounge room as Pidge walked in, raising an eyebrow as they saw you and Matt.

"What's so funny where you two are screaming in laughter?" they ask curiously.

You wipe tears from your eyes as you grin, "Oh, it's nothing. We were just talking about some memes we remember from back on Earth. I'm also catching him up since he missed... So much."

Pidge groans, "Oh god. Yep, not getting myself involved with that. I'm out," they say as the backtrack their way out of the room.

Matt continues laughing, looking at you with bright eyes. "Tell me more!!! What are the other memes I've missed out on??"

You grin and hum. "Well let's see.. They've put Gru to good use," You say as you take out your phone, scrolling through it to find the meme, then proceeding to show a whole bunch of examples to Matt.

He cackles and grins, just exploding with laughter as his shoulders shake, clutching his stomach as he looks.. Just adorable.

You smile brightly, watching Matt die with laughter over the new meme he's been shown, studying his features before catching yourself and blushing, looking away.

Matt wipes his eyes and takes deep breaths, calming himself down as he smiles at you. "Thank you for spending quality time with me and talking about memes. I do it often with Lance, and he was busy this time."

You smile slightly and put your phone away, nudging Matt's arm with your elbow gently. "No problem, man! I really enjoy spending time with you."

Matt grins, "I sure hope you do. Cuz now we have to spend more time together!! You'll be the only one to understand me and all the memes I'll start referencing on a daily basis!"

You snort and roll your eyes fondly, ruffling Matt's hair and grinning. "Yeah, yeah. Anyways, don't you have to run off or something? Flirt with the princess? Or Shiro?"

Matt blushes and laughs, shaking his head. "Nope. I do have to go and help Pidge with programming something for the castle, though. And I need to look over the maps that they put together," he says, thinking.

He gets up and stretches, smiling down at you as he holds out a hand for you to take. You take it and he pulls you up.

"Anyways, I'll see you around, friendo. Probably during dinner. Hopefully sometime before that." He grins and punches your shoulder playfully. You punch back and grin, humming in agreement to his words as he hugs you quickly, blushing.

"Yeah anyways, bye!" he darts off, running to wherever Pidge is, you presume.

You smile and blush softly, shrugging and murmuring something about him being a weirdo as you walk off to your room.

Over the past few days.. Or weeks.. It's hard to tell time in space, both you and Matt have gotten extremely close to one another. Even going as far as having sleepovers. No one really questioned it besides Pidge and Shiro. Pidge because they want to see if their ship is sailing, and Shiro who's the ultimate space dad who wants to make sure Matt isn't doing the do with you.
