Chapter 4: Dark Space

"Princess. I hope you'll enjoy your new home," The masked woman said,"the suitors are in the main hall." "Suitors?" "Of course! One must win the princess's hand." "Oh." "Well, princess Krain, I'll be waiting downstairs." This was worse than she had anticipated.
How was she going to avoid this?A sudden thought dawned on her. What if she escaped through the window? It was perfect but before anything else she looked out the window. Perfect. There was a ledge in front of the window that went up and down, side to side. It connected to the fourth tower, which had a staircase leading upwards to a balcony and downwards to a door. Through the door was a forest of crystal trees.
This was wonderful to plan out in her head. Run away princess, she thought.
"Anyway! No time to waste!" She said to herself.
"If you're pulling our leg then we're having roasted maid for luncheon."" Ugh! I've already told you! She needs some time!"" I will have you hung, drawn and quartered!"" Maybe so but that doesn't mean she's going to come down."
"Gosh that maid needs to get out of there." Cassandra said. She clicked her finger and the maid appeared before her." M-my lady! How did I get here?!" "I got you out of that sticky situation. I need you to help me escape." "But who will be our Queen?" "No one. You can all live happily without a ruler. Now, will you help me?" "I-I mean... Yes." "Good,now let's go." The pair quickly made their way across the ledges and into the fourth tower window. They began to run down the steps. There were a lot more steps than Cassandra had anticipated. She decided that she'd ask the maid their name. "What is your name?" She asked. "Luna." The maid replied.
"Princess, get back in your tower." A guard said. The door was just behind him. Cassandra's eyes turned from a calm blue, to a harsh red. The man started screaming and was split in half. "W-what just happened?" "I believe they just split apart right in front of our eyes. Leave. If people find out about you aiding me then you must be in hiding. I wish you luck, Luna." With that, the two went there separate ways. If Cassandra was to escape, she would need to pick a perfect crystal.
