When A Wolf Howls // Remus Lupin

CHAPTER TWO

**NOTE: I've decided that I wanted Remus's POV throughout the story because, again, they don't meet until later and of course Remus knows that she's his mate. When it's Remus's POV I'll be putting a gif of him so you'll know. The only POVs will be from Adelaide and Remus so if there is another gif of someone else then it will most likely be Adelaide's POV. I know its confusing, sorry. I also decided that Remus and Adelaide won't start to converse until Remus's sixth year. P.S Remus and Adelaide are 1 year apart.**

YEAR SIX

One moment I was perfectly fine passing my trunks to a man, the next I hear a horrid scream coming from behind me and then someone throwing themselves at me, clinging on as we both fell to the dirty ground.

"Moony! God I missed you man, you would not believe the hell time I've had at home" I could hear Sirius say.

I groan trying to push Sirius off of me "get off of him Padfoot" James said, pulling him off of me.

"Do you really have to push me to the ground every year Sirius?" I say standing up and dusting myself odd.

"I have to show my love somehow don't I?" he responds making me roll my eyes.

"Well boys" James says "we're in year 6, I have still yet to make Evans fall in love with me, Sirius has yet to actually have a real girlfriend for more then 3 months, Peter had yet to show any interest in any girl, and our dear Moony has yet to bloody acknowledge the girl he's in love with."

"Dear god Prongs tell us how you feel" Sirius says fake hurt.

I roll my eyes "you know why I won't talk to Adelaide you absolute jerk" I say before smacking the back of his head.

"I've been hurt, I'm going to die, Moony how could you I thought we were closer then this!" James screeches out in the worst fake pain ever while falling on the ground.

"My god Potter, can you please be quiet? You already cause so much drama at school, must you cause drama on the platform too?" Lily Evans says with her hands on her hips and a scowl on her lips.

I honestly couldn't care less about James's response to the girl he's be in love with since first year because my eyes instantly fell on the girl I have been in love with since second year. Adelaide Silverheart was a beautiful blonde, blue eyed, book loving genius who I was completely smitten with. It wasn't all my fault really, it was the werewolf gene. Apparently werewolf's have mates, but it's a 1/70 chance of finding them, which was why I was at a complete shock in my second year when the most gorgeous first year sat down to claim her house. I had preyed in the short amount of time that she sat, awaiting her house, that she would be a Gryffindor. Sadly the Sorting Hat didn't hear my wishes as she was placed in the Hufflepuff house.

Once the boys found out about the whole ordeal after a every long period of what Sirius would call a "longing stare" they decided to take it upon themselves to get us together. Of course I stopped all thoughts of that before they became too much because I was a werewolf, I explained that she clearly wasn't a werewolf, so in order to be together I would have to bite her and that is something I will never do. They understood why I wouldn't want to talk to her though they didn't agree. So the only thing I could do without hurting her would be staring...very long, longing stares.

My focus goes back to James who was strangely, but really we shouldn't be surprised, holding Lily's hand screaming out words of I love you's and will you go on a date with me as Lily is also screaming but in anger trying to unattach their hands.

"See how she leans her cheek upon her hand. O, that I were a glove upon that hand that I might touch that cheek!" James cried out cause both Lily and I to be shocked.
