The Police arrived shortly after. I didn't pull him out the car so I wouldn't tamper with the crime scene, even though I wanted to know what had happened to him. I doubted he would not know how to drive but still buy a car... I mean, if he was such an activist like he seemed to be, he would've just walked home if he didn't knew how to drive. A police officer came out of a Police car with his partner, and he started yelling at me for being inside of his crime scene.
- Calm down... Detective James Atton. - He looked at me, thinking I was still not quite off the hook.
- I'm John Atkins, and this is my partner, Julie Watson. - She waved at me. - Just because you're not a normal person doesn't mean you have to the authorization to tamper with my crime scene.
- Well, I can assure you that I have done nothing to your crime scene, Mr. Now, that man was behind me on the road and crashed into a lightning pole over there. I don't think it was the accident that killed him.
- What do you mean? - Watson asked.
- Well, before we crashed he was already at least unconscious, with his head on the horn. He fell with it on there, or else I wouldn't have heard the horn for like 5 seconds...
- Really? - Watson was now curious.
- Watson, calm down. We'll leave the conclusion to the autopsy report. But I think we're done here, Mr. Atton. Give us a call if you find or remember something that you didn't tell us yet.
I hadn't told them about the supposed crimes, but that was on purpose. I said goodbye, got into my car and went back home. I arrived and Hannah was watching TV.
- Hey, darling.
- Hey. How was the beach?
- Deadly... Some random dude told me he had killed two people and then got into a car accident and died.
- That's... Morbid, I guess.
- Gruesome. - I added.
- Still... It's gotta be a little exciting. It's a murder! It's the Universe giving you a sign to move on from Robert and Stan. - She said those words brutally cold. Sometimes I thought she was a psychopath, no joke. She seemed so innocent on the outside but she faced death in a very weird way. She found adrenaline on life or death scenes, mainly the ones that included Stella.
- The only thing that gives signs in this universe, would be the construction workers. But yeah, I'm moving on. - I said. - At least now you'll stop bugging me about them. - I whispered. She looked at me with her deadly beautiful eyes.
- So what's the next step? - She asked, getting off the couch.
- Well, I think I'll go by the Police tomorrow to see if they found any clues yet.
-Wait, you didn't take the case?
- Nah, they didn't let me. I think that they assumed it had been an accident.
- Well, - she suggested - maybe he killed himself. He could've been feeling awful about what he had done so he decided to kill himself.
- Nah, it doesn't fit with the all scenery. - I countered. - I'm pretty sure he was unconscious before he died. If he was going to kill himself, the accident would have done the job for him, at least in my opinion.
- Maybe... Who knows?
- Mr. Nature does. Believe me, Mr. Nature knows. - I said, going into the bedroom. - I'll probably leave in a little while. Scratch my plan of going to the Police tomorrow... I'll see if I can find anything.
