Lets start with the topic which the first part of almost every rant book on wattpad.
Alright, this site has been like a 2nd home to me for almost 2 years, and I love it. But sometimes, I'm just wondering what the actual hell is wrong with half the people here.
Yeah, sorry for my bluntness. Actually, not sorry.
Anyways, lets begin.
1) The Bad boy/ Vampire/ Werewolf cliche writers:
I swear, actual fiction authors (i.e not fanfic) on wattpad only know 3 stuff to write about:
1) Bad Boy: "BAD BOY ATE MY COOKIES!" or "OMG BAD BOY GAVE ME COOTIES". What the hell?
2) Vampire: "I'M A VAMPIRE?!" or perhaps "MY LOVER BOY IS A BAT?!"
3) Werewolf: "ALPHA CHOSE ME?!" or maybe "ALPHA PUSHED ME INTO A POOL?!"
UGH! STOP ALREADY!
But surprisingly, these cliche stories with the worst grammar and hell load of "Feels" are the ones which get popular.
Omg.
It actually takes a really long time for good authors with ACTUAL plots to get recognised.
2) Grammar Murderers.
Get your grammar right people! I mean, a few typos are acceptable but the entire story written with a pathetic grammar is not. Ever heard of proof reading?
Let me give you an extract from a book I read.
"She whore her black dress to the party"
WHAT THE FUCK? Please do proof read. I beg you!
And yes, more importantly, lets move on to the subject of text-writing.
"AYO MAN WHASSUP? (no exo references intended) r u free 2moro?" Asked Cathlyn with a smile.
"No man, I hv 2 go on a date wid Calum 2moro" Cathlyn's smile dropped.
"OMG. K then, gtg ttyl. Cya. Gdbye"Cathlyn walked away from her childhood friend, Mysa while hiding her tears because she secretly liked Calum.
If you're going to write like this, then lemme say a gdbye to your story too!
3)Follow-Unfollowers:
As a writer/ reader on this site, this is the problem I have faced so regularly. I hate it when someone follows you and you thank them and they don't reply and next day, they're not following you.

People do this obviously because they want more followers than the amount of people they're following.
Honey, why don't you write a good book instead? You'll automatically get he'll load of followers if your book us a hit.
4) Vote Limit:
Ya, I'm talking about those people who are like, "No update till I get 100 votes on this chapter".
Gosh these people get on my nerves and piss me off. They actually come off as arrogant, rather than an understanding author.
Your book hardly has 174 views and 5 votes! How can you be so demanding?!
And I swear, half the times, the books are pathetic.
5) A/N:
That awkward moment when an author's note is larger than the chapter.
Enough said.
And I also hate it when the author publishes another part after a long time and you're all excited then it turns out to be an apology because they haven't been updating. Bummer.
6) Selfie Books:
NO. JUST NO. THIS IS A READING SITE. And you DO NOT make a book to post your selfies only. I mean, I understand those face reveals but uploading your photos as if you're on snapchat IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
AND NO. IT IS NOT TINDER EITHER. Yes, I was going through the profiles of some of the people I know in real life who're here on wattpad and I saw these 2 people openly flirting. EWW! JUST WHAT THE FUCK?! I think I had to cleanse my eyes with bleach. welp!
THIS IS A READING Site FFS! I REPEAT, A READING SITE!
7)The author who never updates:
It's been 3 years.
We understand that you are busy but PLEASE UPDATE ALREADY!
8) Dem weird Commenters.
"ASDFGHJKL I NEED A MAN LIKE HIM ZXCVBBNGDHJJ! GOD PLEASE SEND ME A MAN LIKE HIM ASDGHDGHGVXF!"
Should I send an exorcist instead?
9) Role players on your stories.
A few days back, I woke up to see like, 176 notifications and I got excited thinking that I had new votes and follows.
But no, people were role-playing on my story and my phone kept on getting blasted with more notifications.
Sometimes, it is entertaining. But most of the times, it's not.
Wattpad has given you the PM features. So why not use it?
10) The 'I will criticize the author but I won't check myself first' kind of people.
I have seen a lot of instances where a person criticises an author just because of a very silly reason. Like maybe, say, a typo. The story would be excellent.But that doesn't matter. Only that little typo does.
Bitch, how dare you criticize the author who has actually made an effort? You probably don't even have 1/10 of her votes and reads!
Alright, I wasn't planning to mention this incident but it pisses me off till date.
I got a PM from this person saying that my stories are amazing but my GRAMMAR isn't. I mean, they said it with polished words which made it sound like constructive criticism. And I wasn't offended at all tbh. I was planning to edit my book either way.
But what actually pisses me off is the fact that she was giving me a lecture about my grammar when she herself spelt the word grammar as GRAMMER.
