Chapter Five

Robyn's POV

"I forgot you where staying in the dorms!" Okay. That was a lie but I wanted to start a conversation with him.

"Yeah." It all went quiet. I could feel a slight tension build as I looked at both Damien and Harper. Clearly they've had some history.

"Robyn." Spoke Harper, not losing eye contact with Damien "Let's go to the sports area, I heard that they're selling free pizza." Selling free pizza? How can you sell pizza when it's free? Before I could speak, Damien stepped in.

"Sorry Harper but I think she'd rather come to the arts stalls with me." Honestly, I would rather go to the art stalls, art is just something I enjoy. Yet, at the same time, I can't let Harper down; I said I'd walk around with her.

"No. She's going around with me. You can't just walk over and take her from me like you did the last time!" Last time?

All Damien did in response is scoff.

"GUYS! Why don't we all just walk round together?" They both shared a look and stared at me as if I has just asked them to kill the president.

"Definitely not." I turned towards Harper, who had her arms crossed and her eyes throwing daggers at Damien.

"Well if she's going to be like that then I won't bother."

"Good. I don't want you anywhere near my Robyn!" Her Robyn?

That's it. I've had enough. Pushing past both of them, I made my way towards the science stalls, just leaving them there.

Their eyes where like daggers in my back. I could feel them shoot glares at me. Why did I do that? Why didn't I just sort it out? This is stupid. I began to look at all of the stalls, pretending to seem interested, I stopped at a stall about space and the universe. Well, I guess I am interested in space but for me I'm more interested in black holes, worm holes and things like that.

Don't ask why, it just intrigues me, the fact that beyond this earth there's more that no-one has discovered yet. Something that we'll keep discovering until the end of time itself.

I continued to walk, each step taking me deeper and deeper into my thoughts.

I was halted as I bumped into yet, another, 'brick wall'. I looked up to - yet another - attractive guy. Why are there so many fit guys? I will eat my hand off when I find an unattractive one.

"Sorry." I managed to scramble out, I'm not a biggy on socialising.

"It's okay - hey you're that girl who was with Damien, right?"

I nodded as a 'yes'. "You know him?"

The lad smiled. "Yeah. Oh, I'm Callum by the way."

"Nice to meet you Callum. I'm Robyn."

I spent the rest of the day getting to know Callum. He's a really nice guy to be honest, a little too nice in my opinion.

As it started to get dark, I went back to mine and Harpers dorm.

Opening the door, I saw Harper looking into a mirror, fixing her hair into a high ponytail. "Going out?" I questioned.

"Pft. Yeah! Tonight is the welcoming party!"

"Welcoming party?" Parting was the last thing I wanted to do.

"Yeah! Come with me, it'll be fun!" Fun? Drunk young-adults, making out, sex and violence isn't really my idea of fun. I accepted regardless, I couldn't say no to Harper. I've barely known her a day and I already feel like I've known her for years.

"Okay, okay. But I have nothing to wear." She shot up and handed me a strapless black dress, thigh-high tights and some black heels. "Already ahead of you!"

I giggles and walked into my room, putting them on. I stared into the mirror and stared at my imperfect skin before applying a small drop of foundation along with brushing my hair, letting it hand loose. I picked up my phone, checked the time and walked out.

"Ready to go?"

"Yep!"
