Mariah POV-

My name's Mariah, I am 15 years old. I have a twin, Dylan. Dylan is the oldest between the both of us. I am a girl that has had troubles, but I push through them and continue to smile.

Today Dylan and I were to go to the town square and pickpocket. We've been doing this since we were 6 years old. My father couldn't find a job and mother was ill. It was up to Dylan and I to get money for food and medicine.
We gathered a sack for each of us both.

We had grab a small knife just in case anything happens. We grabbed three coins worth only enough for a single piece of bread for us to share. Then we headed out. While we were walking through the crowds of people and farm animals going by I realized that Dylan had already left.

I slipped on my mask and my hunting tunic. I also put on a cloak to hide myself. I slipped my short brown hair into the hood and went off. I started with a middle aged man and quietly and softly snuck my hand into his pocket and pulled out a sack full of silver coins.

'This man must have be a man of higher class to have a full sack of silver.' I thought. I then ran from the scene and continued stealing sacks of coins. The crowd slowly began to leave and Dylan and I finally found each other. "Hey Mariah I got a lot and a small sack of gold. What do you have?" Dylan said. I responded with, "I got a lot and a full sack of silver and 10 gold." Dylan stood there shocked and smiled, "Well come on. We need to tell father." We both raced each other home.

I knocked on the door, but heard no response. I opened the door and stepped inside. I was utterly shocked and angered. My father was sitting in the chair and his chest held wounds. Stabbing wounds. Dylan ran into the house after pulling me out, then he went mother's room and came to me crying. I then understood.

We grabbed our sacks of coins, our knives, tunics, and other stuff. We packed them and left. I turned around and took a last glance at my home. We ran until we reached a small clearing in the woods. "We'll stay here until we can get more coins then we'll find a place. Tomorrow we'll head to town get more coins and we have to meet with the others tonight." Dylan said. I nodded my head.

Dylan and I finished making camp and headed off to meet the others.

Dylan's POV-

Mariah and I didn't come from a family with a higher class. Hell, my father didn't even have a job and he never told my mother or sister that he was a drunk. Mother, she was deathly ill because my father tried to kill her, but she was strong and still managed to stay alive.

Mariah and I were the ones who kept this family going, we began thieving from other people to get money to get food and medicine. We did this everyday hoping to get enough so we couldn't ask for more, but that wouldn't happen. Today we heard people of high class were coming to town, so that meant sacks of gold and silver.

Mariah began getting her stuff and I already making my way towards the door. Mariah and I then disguised ourselves and went off to thieve. It didn't take long, in fact it was easier thanks to the huge crowd. We managed to get 45 gold and two sacks of silver.

We were happy and went home to tell our parents of the news. Mariah knocked on the door, but no one answered. She then opened the door and I immediately closed her eyes. I pulled her out of the house. I went inside and grabbed our things. I checked everything and I went to Mother's room and found her pale and lifeless, we were to late.

I hurriedly grabbed our things and I grabbed Mariah and gave her her things. We ran to a clearing in the woods, "We'll stay here until we can get more coins then we'll find a place. Tomorrow we'll head to town get more coins and we have to meet with the others tonight." The clearing was small enough to fit a tent and a fire pit. We then were finishing up the camp.

I turned to Mariah, "We best get going now to the others." She nodded her head and prepared to leave. We then left to meet the others at a river near our hideout.

Amiah POV-

My name is Amiah and I am 12 years old. I am an only child to my mother. It was just the two of us. My family sadly died during the war. He was my hero, doing so much for the world.

My mother she was the only one left for me. She would hurt me sometimes but I don't blame her. We've both been going through a hard time. She sometimes would bring home other men and I could hear sounds coming from her room. When this started happening I just went to my hiding spot in the house.

Father had made it for me, it was a little room with my things that was hidden for only me to know. I was happy I had it. But then I heard voices above me, "Oh, no worries~ She'll probably be out soon, but do you want to continue?~" I heard a female say. The other voice was a male, "Alright, you're now mine~" I was now scared.

I have to get out of here. I didn't want them to find me. Mother would hurt me and that man will do something to me. I then sat down and I then felt tears stream down my face. I then remembered that Father built a tunnel for an emergency, the tunnel led to the river.

I then quietly made my way to the tunnel and went through it. It was a small tunnel but at least it was big enough for me to walk through. I then walked on and I saw the exit. I made my way through and I stood by the river.

I realized this was the same river that led to the hideout. I then began making my way to the others.

A/N: Sorry but the others will have to wait until the next chapter and this entire thing is 1111 words.
