Lauren's POV

I wake up to the sound of a muffled scream. I can almost identify who it is. But after I hear a very muffled "Lauren?" I know it's my best friend. All I can see is darkness, all I can hear is Kailyn's muffled cries. I can feel my hands slowly turn numb from the extremely tight ropes that were put on my wrists.

Kailyn's POV
I can't see anything. My hands are numb. My head is throbbing. My calf is stinging from whatever was injected into it. I lean back and feel no wall. I'm laying down at this point. I started to wiggle forward until I felt a cold brick wall touch my head. I then wiggled every which way to try and get this stupid blindfold off my head. Finally my head nicks the broken brick and it gently slides the blindfold off of me. All I see is an empty room. Moldy and cold. One flickering lightbulb is hanging from the ceiling. All I can make out is chains with huge rusty hooks hanging from the ceiling. Detached limbs are hanging from the hooks. I turn to my left to see that Lauren is struggling. I look to see that my hands were placed in my lap. I lift my hands up and managed to slip her blindfold off.

Lauren's POV
Cold hands suddenly tug at my blindfold. The second it is off I see Kailyn. Tear stains down her cheeks with blood shot eyes. I look over to see that over her left eye, she has a deep cut that is slowly dripping blood down the side of her face.

Kailyn's POV
Lauren looks really bad. Bruises all over her. Still tears in her eyes. Her lips trembling. I want to help her but I can't. My hands start to turn purple from the lack of blood flow. I need to figure out a way to get these ropes off. I go back to the brick wall and lean against it. I slowly pull up my legs and lock my knees. I take a deep breath and push off. Only to fall forward onto my knees. The concrete scraping me.

*whispering*
K: you see those hooks on the ceiling?
L: yeah..
K: try to stand up real quick

We both attempt to stand up. Lauren gets up first and then she helps me up by hooking our hands together.

K: come here. jump up and put the middle of the rope on the hook and put your feet up. The weight should slice through the ropes and free us.
L: good idea.

Lauren's POV
I slowly walk over to one of the empty hooks and jump up. Thankfully it worked. I'm now hanging from the hooks. I put my legs down and see that my legs aren't able to touch the ground. I can't seem to break through the ropes.

Kailyn's POV
I walk over to a hook that had no limbs on it and jumped up. Slicing a part of my wrist but I still was able to get the middle of the ropes where it needed to be. I wince in pain as the cut starts to burn. I then pull my legs up to my chest. *THUMP* I fall to the floor. Blood all over my arm, but thankfully the ropes are off. Detailed purplish red engravings surround my hands from where the rope once was. I look over to see that Lauren is just hanging there. Not able to cut free. I run over to her and start to tug at the ropes, through our struggling, I started to hear a very faint scraping. Almost like metal against concrete. Every second that went by it started to get louder and louder. Whoever it was, whatever it was, was coming for us. And it was coming fast. We could hear grunting over the ear piercing scraping. Lauren still hanging from the ceiling. All of the sudden. It stopped, all I could hear was the breathing of me and Lauren. Then I started to hear the breathing of another.
