So coming out to your parents can be difficult, especially if you don't know if they're LGBT friendly. I suggest bringing up LGBT topics to them and watching their reactions, they are very likely to share their opinions, most people are. If they're pro LGBT then your in luck, tell them. Easier said then done though. If you find it hard to tell them try to tell them while your in the car, especially if it's just one parent and you. That way they keep their eyes on the road and not on you making it less difficult. But most importantly, BE CLEAR, don't just tell them that you're trans, tell them how you feel and how you came to the realization that your trans, THEN tell them that your trans.
If they're not LGBT friendly then try to convince them, don't push too hard but try to get them to think differently, it's honestly a long shot but it's worth a try. If your can't convince them try to find a different family member that is pro LGBT, an aunt, an uncle, a older brother/sister, if you can't find anyone in your family try friends.
Well that's all for today, best of luck to all of you who are coming out!
