It was a day unlike any other. I was walking back from a long day at the office. The Smith's case had kept me up the night before and I hadn't had anything to eat that day. I was headed home to see my dearest Phillipa. She had prepared dinner for me, but I just couldn't get away from work. I was half way home when I heard a strange sound come from behind me. I looked over my shoulder and saw nothing. I turned, and kept walking when I saw them. The most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. They were deeper than the seven seas, bluer than the midday sky. Hair, browner than the trunks of trees in the fall. Lips, paler than sand on a beach in the summer. As I got better look at the person standing before me, I could see, I was standing before a man. The most handsome man I had ever seen. How could this be? How could I be feeling this way? I have a wife, I have a son, I have a house, I have a good life. A very grand life. This can not be happening! He grows lower to the floor as he helps me pick up my things that I hadn't even known I have dropped.
"I'm sorry sir, I didn't see you sir." He said rambling, scrambling to get every single paper from my briefcase.
"No harm done, sir." I said as my stomach stirred.
"I'm Jonathan. Jonathan Groff." He reached his hand out to shake mine. I grabbed his hand,
"Lin-Manuel Miranda." I said staring into his eyes.
"Well it was nice to meet you Lin, but I better be off." I watched as that handsome man slowly disappeared into the night. As I turned around to continue my journey back home, I saw a small piece of paper on the floor. I picked it up and saw there was a single phone number. All I could think about the rest of the way home was,
"Who's phone number is this?"
