I have just landed in the London Airport. I flew a 12 hour flight from New York just to be here. I'm so excited to be here though! I've missed my home, but I know this isn't just a normal visit, and it's actually one of the sadder visits.

My family and I have known Anne and Robin for about 5 years. I've been living in New York for about 3 of those years and whenever I'd come home to visit, I would always go see Anne, Robin, and Gemma. I've never met Harry though, due to him being on tour and coming home when I'm back in New York, so I'm excited to finally meet him.

I am picked up from the airport by my dad, Greg, and my mum, Anna.
"Mum!" I yell and hug her when I see her waiting near the doors.
"Aw Emma You look beautiful! Come on now your dad's waiting in the car" I eagerly nod and walk to the car.

"Hi Dad" I say and kiss his cheek when I get in the back.
"Hello love how's New York treatin ya" he asks.
"Good dad I'm havin a good time there and my grades are good".

The whole way we converse and laugh about old memories and new ones. We are going to be staying at my parents house, which is only about 15 minutes away from Holmes Chapel.

We stop at my favorite bakery along the way called K's Bakery. We picked up some snacks and coffee. The trip home was a three hour drive so I was exhausted and needed some coffee.

We drive up to our neighborhood and I see my house right away. We have a red garage and a Victorian styled home. It's beautiful and has 4 bedrooms. I'll be staying in my old bedroom and my older brother Charlie will be staying with us and my younger sister Olivia will also be here.

My older brother Charlie is 25 and he lives in London now, working in marketing. My little sister Olivia is 18 so she's going to college next year, but she still lives at home.
I'm greeted by both of them and my dog Buster.

"Hey guys I missed you" I say to them as I give them individual hugs and kisses on the cheeks. We were always a pretty close family who rarely fight. I really did miss seeing them every day.

The rest of the evening is spent at home unpacking and reconnecting with my family. My mum informs me that tomorrow we will be spending the day with Anne and some other family members.

"Okay mum, I think I'll head to bed now" I say as I help put the dishes away.
"Alright love, I'll wake ya in the morning" I give her a kiss on the cheek as I go upstairs to shower, then sleep in my bed I've missed oh so much.
