...And as she walks the steps towards the platform, she could not help but look at the face of the man she previously claimed as hers. Clothed in the most expensive fabric and adorned with a crown that bathes in the hue of the golden sun,the man she adored has finally become king.

If it were not for this  judgement she would've been standing there by his side, arms linked as they wave before the people. But right now, for this special day she decided to wear the clothes her mother  wore before her death. Ridding herself of the crimson solors she once loved. Her garment was unlike her common gowns that showed glamour and grandeur. It was a cloth that pictures of nothing but mourning made with the darkest color of fabric available in the kingdom. When she was young she remembered telling her mother how gaudy this dressed seemed and how it reminded her of the dark days during a storm. It was afull length dress that was adorned with nothing. It was tight around the chest but as it goes down it becomes loose that it almost looked like a pool of black ink.

While her clothes are being subjected to public scrutiny, she continues her march towards the platform. Step by step she hear countless whispers of both hatred and fear.
Finally she reaches the platform. She raises her head which she hanged low  ever since the chains on her hands have been placed. she looks at the sky and says a little prayer. She prayed for her father, she prayed for forgiveness for the sins she has commited, she prayed for the king and for her people. she brings down her head and looks at the end of the guillotine. This is the first time she sees one because for over a hundred years this will be  the only time a person will be punished with a death sentence.

she breathes in the air and approaches the man that stretches his hands before her. his face was covered with a sack and  robes that looked similar to the dirt of the earth covered his body. This is done as to not reveal his identity. she reaches his hands and follows the man as he leads her to the guillotine. she places her head above the shallow curve on the wooden like stool. The men covers her eyes and as the fabric slowly tightens around her face she cries "My only sin was falling in love with the wrong person."

The blade falls

The screen turns black. Grasping the phone with my right hand I silently screamed as to avoid bothering the other passengers of the bus I am riding. Sitting at the back beside the window, I started typing on the comment section.

[It was kind of disappointing how the author didn't punish the villain sooner, If it were me the proper ending will be her falling down a cliff while his highness and lady Charlotte led a happy life.

Once I finished typing I turned off my phone and looked out the window. It's been weeks since the last rainfall. The town where I lived was a semi rural area where most of its residents owned their own small plots of land wherein they grew crops for the purpose feeding themselves or earning a little bit of cash. The people here have been really desperate for any rainfall and although we do have a normal water piping system, we still prefer rain water because it makes the plants more vibrant and healthy. However, due to the heavy rain pour earlier I was not able to leave the restaurant early.
