Although against the wishes of both they're families the young couple went away and got married in a faraway country. Both of them supported each other through thick and thin and when the time came that the man and woman was praised by the royalty for their contributions to the kingdom they were given a territory to look after and was named the duke and duchess of Clarence. Not long after the man was assigned as the next Prime minister. A role which he happily accepted. They were blessed with a beautiful baby girl who they named Elizabeth as it was a name that was nearest to Isabel, his wife and partner, and meant the oath of God.
I am sitting in front of the man who I am suppose to call father. He was a huge man, about 6 feet in height, he had fiery red eyes that reminded me of a brecciated jasper. His hair was auburn in color and had curls at the end of each strand. Beside him was a woman who looked like the incarnation of the goddess of beauty. Her hair was kept in a loose bun and each dark blonde strands shone like gold underneath the soft glow of the chandeliers. Like mine she had freckles scattered allover her face which are slightly not visible because of the pigments she placed on her skin.
These people were Elizabeth's parents, While I was trying to remember some of the details about the villaines I recalled that her mother died when she was just a child. Because this woman was loved deeply by her husband, He was unable to move on after her death. Elizabeth looking so similar to her mother was abandoned by her father. She was given everything she wanted but her father did not try to speak or even see her. In attempts to make her father proud she grabbed the chance to be engaged with the prince. In her mind it was the only way for her father to deem her as someone worthy.
In this world the only thing I can rely on are the parts I remember from the novel. Since I know how the story ends I can safely say that I am safe from having my head removed from my body. I just have to make sure not to have the same mistakes as hers. Right now I am seeing everything in her eyes and somehow I feel pity for her.
Looking at her parents now they seem to be a very happy couple. But the way they both keep looking at me has been getting on my nerves. Together we are seated in a round table which is filled with different dishes and fruits. This is probably the first time I witness such extravagance. Well she was from a rich family so its definitely not odd for her to experience such luxury.
"Did I do something wrong?" I asked. We've been sitting here for couple of minutes and I must say that I am hungry. I remember eating before I died but this body which I am occupying was in a comatose state for who knows how long.
"No dear, it's just that I- your father and I came to a realization these past few days while you were unconscious." The way her voice sounded was like a thousand bells were ringing to welcome the spring.-since when did I become so poetic?-
"we were told that you were trying to escape your tutor just to play outside because we rarely come home." From what I remembered ever since the marriage of her parents, her mother has always been sickly. This is also the reason why they visit so many places just to find a remedy for her mother's severe coughing and constant body pains. Elizabeth was always alone which is why she always goes out to play with the kids outside of the mansion's walls. If you would ask me no matter what the circumstances parents should always make time for their children. I mean if you don't want them to end up being prideful or mean you should at least explain to them why you're not able to see them. That would definitely be better than leaving a child to find answers on her own. In Elizabeth's case she found the wrong one.
