Meriden

How We Met:

I'm a maid that works at the castle of Dumbroc. I'm most likely a cleaning maid. I came to this Kingdom along with my family. And I got a job here in the Castle in order for us to put food on the table.

I've worked here for two years. But at the beginning, I met the Prince of Dumbroc, Meriden.
We've become best friends. We told each other secrets, we do fun activities together, and when I have days off he would take me riding on his horse, Angus.
I'll never forget the day we met.

A year earlier:

I'm carrying a bucket of water, heading towards the laundry. The bucket was really heavy.

"Um, excuse me, but would you like some help with that?" A male Scottish voice asked me.

I turn to see the Prince of Dumbroc standing there with a look of concern.
He his curly hair was as red as fire, his eyes were as blue as the ocean, he was tall and muscular. He wore a fur cape, a light brown shirt, a green kilt and brown boots. He wore leather brown bracelets and a little fanny pack around his waist hanging on the right.

"Uh no thank you your highness, I got this." I refused his generous offer.

"No seriously let me take." The Prince said and he takes the heavy bucket from me. "Now come along we'll head to the laundry room."

I nodded but was stunned at the Prince's actions. We made it all the way to the laundry room and the Prince set the bucket on the table.

"There you are." The Prince said.

"Thank you very much, your highness." I thanked him.

"Oh no please, call me Meriden." Meriden told me.

"Alright, Meriden." I tried out his name.

Meriden waves at me and leaves the laundry room.
I just can't believe I met the Prince of Dumbroc, and he let me call him by his own name.
