prologue

Ashly p.o.v.

As I walk out of class I'm rushed into a  hug by non other than my best friend Abigail but stops as soon as she sees the spots of green and blue,purple on my face,neck,and arms that I tried so hard to cover up with make up and a jacket but was a bad idea since I live in Texas

"GOD DAMM Abigail I told you not to run me in to a hug but thanks and I love you" I say

"I know,and I'm sorry how bad did they both hit you this time because I swear to god-"she says before I stop her from talking when she sees tears run down my face from what they did last night

-Flash back-
I come home with every thing and as soon I got in the house. I was slapped with the back of my father's hand he said "you come home with no food and you are an hour late and just for that you will pay for what you have done"before he kicked me and slapped me as I cry out to my mom but she comes in and started to hit me to. I just lye there on the ground crying as they hit,kick,slap me until I pass out from crying.

-End of flash back-

Abigail pulls me back in to a soft hug and tell me "that they will pay for what they did to you with my fists and I don't care if I go to prison "I laugh at the last part and say"hey at least you will have a good story to tell the judge" we both laugh at that
Abigail always drives me home in her "baby" witch is a 1979 transam but today she had softball practice
So I walk/ more like run home so I'm on time today as soon as I get home I run straight to my room in hope no one is here

8 hours later

I hear the front door slam open and I know it mom and dad coming home from there night out drinking, I lock my bed room door in hope it will stop them but It only makes them mad and my dad kicks the door open ,as soon as he sees me up against the wall crying he only hits me harder and my mom walks in and starts to kick me and say I'm a pics of shit,fat,ugly,and no one in the right mind will ever love you and it goes on for another 20 minutes and they leave to go to there room. I get  up with a busted lip my nose bleading,falling as I try to get up and I try again and I finaly get up and run out of the house and try to call Abigail but get her voice mail.

Now I'm running away form the house and into a park and I run in to what I think is a wall but is a 6'5 foot man that's the last thing I see before I'm out on the ground from the sudden hit and pain

Vince p.o.v.

I told Tony to meet me in the park for his next job and as soon as we are done I was hit by the world's most beautiful girl but with bruises and a busted lip and a bloody nose still bleading and I'm in shock at how some one can just hit her and not care about her.
But I pick her up and put her in my car and I take her to my house
