Chapter 1 : The Date

It was their 1 year anniversary, Magnus planned to take Alec somewhere special.
He planned to take Alec to Italy. Florence, Italy.
Alec had no idea where Magnus was taking him. He just knew it would be somewhere good. After all it is Magnus Bane.

As Alec opened the door to Magnus's apartment, Magnus was nowhere to be found. That's when Magnus walked out of the room they shared. Magnus was more beautiful than ever. Alec smiled and kissed Magnus, putting his hand on his face.
"Hello Alexander ", Magnus said looking into Alec's bright, blue eyes.
"Hello Magnus", Alec said softly.
"Are you ready for a night of adventure?", Magnus asked happily.
"Of course I'm ready. So where are we going?", Alec asked smiling.
"We are going to Florence, Italy. We would go to Rome, but there is some unhappy vampires, that I would not like to see again", Magnus said laughing.
"I wouldn't expect anything less from you ", Alec said stroking Magnus's face.
Magnus waved his hands in the air outlining a portal and the portal appeared.
"To Florence", The couple said holding hands.
They entered the portal and imagined Florence, Italy
They arrived in Via de' Tornabuoni.
Alec began to glamour himself, but before he could Magnus grabbed his stele.
"You don't need this today, all we need are Euros", Magnus said pulling out a glittery handbag full of Euros.
"Okay where too?", Alec asked smirking. 
"Obica, a fancy restaurant. It's very quiet, but from my experience it has great cocktails", Magnus said grabbing Alec's hand.
Alec raised his eyebrows.
"Follow me, my love ", Magnus said kissing Alec.
Magnus led Alec through the streets towards Obica. 
When they reached the restaurant Magnus opened the door for Alec and walked  towards the man at the menu station.
"Due per favore ", Magnus said in perfect Italian.
"Seguimi ", the man said in Italian.
Magnus gestured for Alec to follow him. 
"You speak Italian?", Alec asked surprised.
"I speak almost every language", Magnus said sitting down in a chair. Alec sat across from him.
"Dimmi quando sei pronto per ordinare ", The man asked
"Va Bene ", Magnus said.
"You sound even better when you speak Italian", Alec said looking Magnus in the eyes.
"You didn't glamour your cat eyes", Alec said worriedly.
"I forgot to tell you Alexander, this is a warlock restaurant. Mundanes can still come here, but the warlocks who work here block their curious eyes", Magnus said pointing to the waiter up at the bar who had a black tail.
"Oh, and they're okay with Shadowhunters being here?", Alec asked nervously.
"Anyone from the Shadow World is welcome here in Obica", Magnus said happily.
"That's good ", Alec said sheepishly.
Magnus and Alec looked at their menus. Alec flipped to the American version of course.
"Can you tell the waiter I want minestrone?", Alec asked said looking at Magnus. Which he could never stop doing.
"Of course my sweet", Magnus said smiling at Alec.
"Also a water", Alec said still smirking at Magnus.
"No, we came to this restaurant for the drinks. Not the water. I'll pick you out something ", Magnus said happily.
"But-", he was cut off as the water came.
"Siete pronti? ", The waiter asked.
"Si', Minestrone Per la Signora", Magnus said smirking at Alec, "come per me, il Ossobuco ", Magnus finished. The waiter was about to leave when Magnus spoke up, "Do you speak English?".
"Yes I do ", the waiter said.
"1 Spritz and a Bellini", Magnus said looking at Alec.
Alec reached over the table and kissed Magnus.
"What was that for, Alexander", Magnus asked smiling.
"Nothing I just love you", Alec said smirking.
"I love you too, my sweet", Magnus said just as the drinks came.
"This one is for you", Magnus gave Alec the Bellini and himself the Spritz.
"What's in it?", Alec asked looking in his glass
"The main ingredients are Champagne and peach juice", Magnus explained.
"Okay well to us?", Alec said raising his glass.
"To us", Magnus said clinking their glasses. They both took sips of their drink.
"Not bad", Alec said putting his cocktail down.
"Of course it's not bad it's Italian", Magnus said laughing.
"Here's our food", Alec said as the waiter set down their food.
"Yes I would assume it is", Magnus said reaching over and pushing Alec's hair out of his face.
Alec smiled.
They ate. Which I assume you know.
"I say it's time we get going ", Magnus said, "I have something planned back at our suite".
Alec blushed.
It was dark, and quiet. Which was suspected in the late afternoon.
"Magnus I -", he was cut off because Magnus wasn't anywhere to be seen.
"Magnus! Where are you", Alec screamed, his voice cracking.
Alec heard a growling. He spun around just to see Magnus's unconscious body be dragged into a portal.
"NO!", Alec screamed.  He fell to his knees screaming. He was crying.

Will he ever see Magnus again?
