DING
This elevator is slow...and tiny.
The doors started closing but a fast and small hands appeared to block it. How can something so small stopped this hard metallic door without hesitation?
...and there she was.
Talk about coincidence.
She seemed more relaxed now.
Sometimes, we bump into each other a few times since we live in the same apartment complex.
As usual I was expressionless...Invisible.
And it seems that she doesn't really care whether I was there or not.
I'm not even appearing in her field of vision even if I'm standing in front of her.
We felt a sudden brake, the elevator was moving slower than it should be, and finally it stopped. We weren't surprised, the thing was ancient and so was the whole structure. Everything was pretty though.
"shit." She started tapping her left foot as a sign of impatience.
The more she increased speed, the more my heartbeat unexpectedly synchronized.
I was already blushing.
Why was I exited all of a sudden?
Was it because of impatience? Was I angry? Scared? Anxious?
No
I didn't had reason to felt anything.
Since the elevator was practically as tiny as a box, I could hear my heavy breathing.
embarrassing
I was startled when I suddenly sense her around my arm.
wait. wha-?
Her head was leaning on my shoulder.
I never would have thought that I would do the following event.
I lift her chin and kiss her forehead like it was the most precious thing I've ever held.
Red colour spreading over our faces.
I had my eyes closed.
The scene was paused just like in movies, until the elevator started moving.
I was taken aback, my head felt like it was pulled away from her, but not enough to erase her completely in my perception.
I was puzzeled.
What just happened?
But I think that the feeling was mutual.
We were looking at each other, eyes wide open.
I saw a scowling face afterwards.
"tsk." Her trembling hand on my chest was the same one that abruptly pushed me so that my back was in perfect fit with the wall of the elevator.
The door opened and she rushed away leaving me and my heartbeat alone.
Paralyzed.
