I admit it's a totally rubbish start but I have it planned out and I promise it will get better after the tat chapters that 'set the scene' are out of the way and I can get into the good scenes! Alright, I've babbled so now it's time for you to read, vote and send me hatemail, thankyou!! xoxoxoxox ps this is unedited as I am lazy.
song now added!
CHAPTER ONE
Prison gates won't open up for me
On these hands and knees I'm crawling
Oh, I reach for you
'Cause I'm terrified of these four walls
Iron bars can't hold my soul in
All I need is you
~ Nickelback, Savin' Me
Arianna woke slowly and adjusted her sight so she could see her simple bedroom in the small amount of light that had filtered through her curtains. Slowly she stretched and strolled over to the small mirror on her desk. The bruise fom yesterday had gone down slightly but she'd still have to cover it with make-up for today.
D*mn.
It wasn't a black eye, thankfully enough, those were hard to hide, but it wasn't in a position to be covered by her long scratty hair only. Her fringe, that covered her eyes, could hide part of it, she supposed, but not the whole thing. Not that anyone would look closely enough, she only had one friend, but Arianna wanted to be thorough, just in case.
Once it was covered, Arianna sighed to herself. It wasn't her fault but she still got the blame and took the punishment. Yesterday had been a big football game (A/N: American football, I'm a brit but this is set in the USA. Mainly 'cause it's warmer and I don't want my characters to catch my cold. I'm weird, so sue me ;P ) and Preston, the Alpha's son, messed up. This made the future Alpha of the pack look like the dimwit he is in front of his future pack.
So the d*ck says the wind tripped him.
To everyone but the Alpha and Arianna, even Preston didn't know her dirty little secret, this is a lame but acceptable, no one gets blamed exuse. To Arianna, this is her getting blamed for Preston's mess up by the Alpha.
Arianna winced as she remembered Alpha Grayson's fury when he called her in last night.
“You little b*tch! I take you in after your father died, even though your not one of us but a f*cking Earth Singer, and you repay for my kindness how? BY MAKING MY SON LOOK LIKE A TW*T!”
Arianna had shook with fear as the angry Alpha yelled at her, knowing that even if anyone was close enough to hear a scream for help they sure as hell wouldn't interfere with the Alpha's business. She stared wordlessly up at her tormentor as he punched her with enough force to harm another Wolf, never mind a small sixteen year old girl without super strength and fantastic healing abilities.
She hadn't bothered to remind him of the bracelet that bound her powers, rendering her useless, hadn't pleaded with him to stop hurting her or even tried to unleash that energy that hummed, constantly, just beneath the surface. She knew from experience they wouldn't work.
