CHAPTER SIX
Something was wrong. Arianna had got the vibe off both Andrés and Niall for days now, yet knew not to question it as it was most probably pack business that didn't concern her anyway and it was disrespectful to pry, but Colin's usually bubbly personality diminishing into the strong silence she more associated with his sibling was . . . Worrying.
Add that Colin was systematically avoiding her in order to make sure he kept whatever secret they were hiding was not good.
And the angry scowls that dominated everyones' faces lately? Yeah, they weren't doing much to ease her calm either.
“Colin,” she sighed finally, “What the h*ll is wrong with you?” Her voice was full of exasperation as she felt him stiffen slightly before holding her closer.
Around them, the crowd hummed with activity as they moved around during half time, the other members of the team in which Colin was a quarterback flirted with the other members of Arianna's cheerleading squad and everything was as the cliché stated it should be.
“I don't want you to hate me,” Colin mumbled into her neck, his voice sounding muffled.
“For messing up slightly?” Arianna scoffed, “Sweetie, your not a god. It had to happen at some point.”
“No. Not the game, it's just -” he broke off with a sigh and Arianna rolled her eyes. Hardly worth trying to make sense out of him now.
Andrés? Niall? What's up with Colin?
Tell him to chillax and win the f*cking game, came Andrés's quick reply.
Tell him I'll reveal all later, Niall's tone was less bored and more soothing than Andrés, but it held that slight pinch reprimand to his Beta.
But tell him he looks sh*t out there with his screw ups and his girl inhaling. What the f*ck are you two doing, anyway? Is this some kind of still-as-statue sex thing 'cos if so, Jailbait, you might wanna try grinding if you want to actually feel something.
