"So things have gone...Alright...I mean, you made a new friend, right...? Wrong...?" Dme tried to reason.

I found myself in a grand library lined in gold. Books floated about, neatly organizing themselves. I remember being confused and lost. Turning to my right I saw what seemed to be a mirror. Other people my age were talking to someone. "Hello?" I said, but the glass was soundproof. The library itself was eerily empty, devoid of all readers. 'Where am I?'

It was sort of...cold and lifeless. Like some sort of empty airport or unused business room. It gave me a foreign feeling like I wasn't at home and the feeling frightened me. The air didn't hold any moisture. It was sort of dry in the room. I felt growing fear and anxiety at my current surroundings. I wanted to move but I just stood there as the walls grew closer to me. Everything was loud in my head as if people were yelling...much like a loud restaurant or stadium but I couldn't pick apart the voices. I just stood there, unmoving as my thoughts coupled with the noise only grew.

A man suddenly appeared before me and all of these feelings changed. The room wasn't empty or lifeless. It was haunting, yes, but it was very soothing too. The room was like a living lullaby. I was between sleeping and waking and all my thoughts and fears halted but in no strange, hypnotic way. The man felt like a benevolent being. He looked like he was in his twenties, with long black hair and charcoal eyes. He wore a long black cloak lined with thin gold threads. A very thin, circular gold ring adorned his head, almost like a halo. He smiled politely, took a low bow, and moved closer. He seemed like a very cautious person, his eyes calmly surveyed the area and he took slow movements towards me.He took a few nervous steps up to where I was sitting and took a seat on top of one of the many tables in the area.

"Before you ask any questions, my name is Dme and welcome to The Libraria. Pick any book in this library and I will transport you to that world. The books symbolize many things, from television shows to novels. Please do not fear me."

It was so long ago when it happened, and yet it feels like yesterday. Yes.. The truth is, I'm not originally from the wonderful world of quirks. I chose to be there. It reminds me of a quote once spoken to me. I cannot remember who said it to me, but even in the shadows of my memory, it stood out starkly.

"There is a difference between having luck and being deserving of it."

I'm somewhere in the middle. But by some stroke of luck, I stand here. The god-like entity towering over me. He told me that I could choose any world to transport to, but by the end of the book, I had to come back.

'That's a fucking shitty deal.' I remember thinking. But years upon years of dreaming, yearning for the extraordinary. It pulled me in as if gravity became stronger where I sat. He didn't have to explain why he was there, the room made me feel like I knew already.
