"Quirk Assessment? That's fun, but...Aren't you a bit scared?" Dme pondered out loud.

"Die!!!" Bakugou yelled as he threw a softball into the air.
Die ...?
I shook my head. I was too caught up in the past. I had to pay attention to the present. After the fight I had with that "Bakugou" kid, we were all assembled outside. All I remember them talking about was having a quirk assessment before I zoned out a few seconds ago. Come the hell on! You'd think I'd be paying attention with laser sharp accuracy after choosing the world of my dreams, but I guess I'm still human.
I had to halt my thoughts as I stared up at the ball that was just blasted into the heavens. Impossible? I thought. So this is the power of someone who placed first...
Bakugou stepped away from the platform. I felt slightly on edge. I didn't have enough time to learn how to use my quirk before being thrown into this world. I remember awaking in my apartment about a week before the entrance exams. I had to train a lot during that time, and since I didn't go to middle school, I had from 6 AM to 11 PM to fit in my routine. Dme helped me with my transcripts, altering my back story so that I went to some municipal school and I had enough credentials to get in. While I didn't have the memories of my previous ways of life, I seem to have retained all my schooling. Good to know I haven't reverted to a four-year-old or anything. But I'm motivated to be the best hero I can be. I want to throw myself into this world as much as possible.
"This is a special privilege, (Y/N), don't forget that."
I sighed, remembering Dme's words. "Nice throw, Bakugou." I decided, trying my best to cool down and try to make friends.
"Piss off!"
Nevermind.
Aizawa eyed me out from the corner of his eyes, but I kept staring forward, choosing to watch him out of my peripheral vision. He clicked his tongue, watching me with distaste. Does everyone seem to hate me? I don't even know anyone else besides that Bakugou shit. What a pain.
"Whoever places last in the quirk assessment will be deemed 'hopeless' and will be expelled from the U.A." Aizawa said, eyeing me. Anxiety and anger rushed up inside of me, but I cooled myself, remembering that it's his right to throw whoever's last out. They are training the best heroes, anyhow.
Bandage-man gave us ten minutes to prepare, which we used to stretch and prepare our quirks. I just awkwardly did the weird butterfly stretch I saw some other girl doing and tried to follow along. I never thought stretching was all that important.
The air was humid, but the grass felt dry. I refrained from picking at it while I looked around. The area was quite large, set up for the analysis. I felt a bit numb and unprepared, and everyone else seemed to be in either high spirits or ready to throw up. I can only hope that I have enough strength from my training to carry over into this assessment.
I stood up, looking down at my arm. I wasn't painfully ripped or had a body teeming with muscles, but I was definitely stronger than before I began training. My arms were noticeably toned like a fighter's would. I never saw myself as someone like that. I always saw myself as the sort of calculative type that stood on the sidelines but still got their wishes and puppeteered the whole thing. Maybe I need to re-evaluate myself.
Bakugou ripped me out of my thoughts. The shithead walked up to me, grimaced and kicked some dirt at me. My eyes narrowed as I looked at the punk up and down. He really was an attractive person. The firecracker doesn't know how lucky he is. I saw his quirk at the entrance exam. It was strong, meant for close quarter combat. If he were to fight me now, he'd most certainly beat me. There's no way I can let this asshole get to the top, it'd ruin the 'hero' title.
"What do you want, kiddo?" I said, reclining into a casual position.
He looked angry. "You think you're the shit! Well, I'll place first in this thing and teach you your damn place!"
It was totally uncalled for, but for some reason, I thought whatever rivalry we had was maybe a good thing. Maybe it's just the way he phrased it. Either way, the idea of a competition had electricity running through me.
"Oh really?" I said intimidatingly. "You haven't even seen my quirk yet, pea-for-brains! What makes you think you're better than me, firecracker? Why don't we bet on this? Whoever places first gets a sort of prize. No sexual favors, though." Shit...Spoke too much. I may be witty but...Sometimes a little too witty.
His face lit up like a Christmas tree with red lights. "N-No one asked you piece of shit!"
He's flustered. That's....
Fantastic.
I feel like I've reached godlike levels watching the epitome of pride shrivel up over my words. Now I know how I'll entertain myself the next few-
My eyes darkened. How long would this last? When would...When would the end be? Dme never told me. I figured it couldn't end this early. The book he held seemed really thick, but I guess I can never be certain. Maybe I'm just being too worried for no reason. What if the book just ends when I die? If so, unless I'm caught in some freak accident I should be fine. But then again... What if-
"Earth to fucktard? The hell's wrong with you."
I was shot out of my thoughts by Bakugou's yelling. "Dammit, shut up, I can hear you! Just figure out the terms of our bet."
He sneered. "I'm not cooperating with you." His grimace soon turned into a wicked smile. "But since I know that I'll win, how about winner takes all?"
Winner takes all?
"What do you mean?" I ask, intrigued.
"Whoever wins first..."
Bakugou's face morphs into a twisted grin
"...Gets to own the other."A/N: I used three different words for the Quirk test and none of them are the right one.
