Bea's pov.
I woke up with a weight on my lap. I looked down and saw Luke sleeping. He was facing me. I smiled. He looked so peaceful. I went to look at the mark on my normal arm. When I lifted it up his arm came with it. Had I grabbed his hand in my sleep? But he didn't let go. I felt my cheeks flush a little. I sighed and looked at the clock. 6 am. Thank the gods I wasn't on shift today. I doubt they would let me anyways. I decided to lay back and go back to sleep.
//two hours later//
I woke up again to a door opening. It was the nurse that usually works with me when I am in the hospital. I smiled at her. She had a tray of food for me. I thanked her quietly and put the tray on the table eating the biscuit and ham. I felt something move and I looked down at Luke. He had started to wake up. I smiled.
"Hey sleeping beauty," I said smiling. He chuckled and sat up.
"Morning. How's your arm?" He asked. I shrugged.
"Fine. I think the pain killers they gave me are still in effect," I said taking a bite of the biscuit. I noticed he still hadn't noticed our hands. I blushed and moved my hand. I might have been seeing things, but I thought I saw him blush too. I shrugged it off. I heard the door open again and I looked over. It was Marissa.
"How are you feeling?" She asked. She walked over and hugged me. I smiled and hugged back.
"Good I guess and hey at least this time it wasn't my fault," I said with a chuckle. She laughed.
"Sorry I didn't come last night," she said standing next to me. I shrugged.
"Wouldn't have done you any good to come then. After Dr. Ziegler checked everything I was out," I said. She nodded. I looked over at Luke.
"When did you get here Luke?" I asked. He shrugged.
"After Jon and Ohm got to the scene I drove up here so about midnight," he explained. I nodded. At that moment Dr. Ziegler walked in.
"Oh hello Marissa. How are you?" She asked. Mari smiled.
"I've been good you?" She replied.
"I've been pretty good. So Bea you should be all set to go. Just take it easy today okay. Oh and I did those upgrades. Don't worry they won't cost anything. Since it's what I wanted to do," she said. I nodded. She handed me a paper with the list of upgrades on it. I smiled and thanked her. She walked out and I got out of the hospital bed.
"Well I have to get to work," Mari said. I nodded and hugged her before she walked out. I grabbed my equipment and uniform shirt off the table. The shirt had been stained with blood. I sighed.
"Good thing I got a spare at home," I said tying the shirt around my waist. I looked for my bike key then I remembered I came in the ambulance. "Shit," I mumbled.
"What's wrong?" Luke asked worrying.
"Nothing. I just forgot I didn't drive up here..." I said thinking.
"I can take you home if you want," he said shrugging. I smiled.
"Yeah that sounds good," I said. We walked out of the hospital and to his car. I got in the passenger seat and he drove.
//20 minutes later//
We pulled into the parking garage for my apartment and I sighed. I was glad to be home.
"Since you brought me home want some breakfast?" I asked. Luke nodded and got out of the car. He walked with me up to my apartment. When I unlocked the door he looked around.
"Nice place you got here," he said. I smiled.
"Thanks. Make yourself at home. Oh how do you want your eggs?" I said. He thought for a moment.
"Over easy," he replied. I nodded and walked to my small kitchen and started making the food. After I finished I walked back to the couch where he was sitting.
"It's ready. I'm going to change real quick then I'll be right back," I said. He nodded. I walked to my room and noticed a box laying in the floor. It was some of my brother's things that he had left when he moved out. I chuckled and changed into some sweat pants and walked back to the kitchen. I sat down and smiled at Luke who was already eating.
"You are a really good cook!" He exclaimed. I blushed.
"Thanks," I replied as I ate. We both finished up and stayed silent for a minute until Luke yawned. "Tired?" I asked. He chuckled and nodded.
"Just a little," he said.
"Go rest on my couch. I don't mind and it's the least I can do to thank you for coming to the hospital last night," I said. He smiled.
"Okay," he said before he walked into the living room. He sat on the couch and yawned. He took his uniform shirt off revealing his t-shirt he had on underneath. I felt myself blush a little. I walked to my room and looked in the box. I came back with a pair of men's sweatpants. I tossed them over to him.
"What is this?" He asked.
"My brother's. He moved out a couple of weeks ago and left somethings. And he hasn't asked for me to mail them to him so I just kept them in a box. Don't worry about it though," I said. He nodded and got up walking to my bathroom. I sat down on the end of the couch feeling a little drowsy myself. He came back and sat his pants on one of the chairs and sat down next to me on the couch.
"Thanks," he said with a smile. I nodded.
"It's no problem," I said with a smile. He chuckled and laid back on the couch. Most of the time after training I would just sleep on the couch so I know that it's comfortable. I looked over after a couple of minutes and he was already asleep. He looked so peaceful again. Just seeing him like that made me tired. I yawned and laid back myself.
/// 3rd. Person pov///
After a couple of minutes Bea fell asleep. She slowly leaned over on Luke's shoulder in her sleep. This caused them both to slide and lay across the couch completely. Both of them were still asleep. Bea was on top of Luke who had one arm hanging off the side of the couch.
