Joe and his team board three zodiacs as they depart from the GSS Pennsylvania. Their mission is as follows:

Infiltrate the drug production facility and destroy it. Stop any and all drug shipments before they are able to leave the island. Also, under no circumstances, are they to engage the island's ruler; for he is seen as a head of state, and is off limits.

Upon reaching the beach, they drag the boats on to the shore, and cover them is camo-netting. They then proceed into the jungle on foot. Their equipment picks up movement in the distance. They hold their position.

There are two groups in the distance. They are converging on each other. The team moves in closer to observe. The sounds of heavy machine guns are heard in the distance. Aaron confirms that it is from the two groups trying to eliminate each other.

"Alright," Joe starts. "While they are preoccupied, we will swing wide and attempt to beat they back to the plant."

The rest of the team nods in approval.

They are about to move, when something unexpected happens.

A red headed buffoon with superspeed stumbles and trips right in front of them. The sounds of many heavily armed men follows in his wake. The buffoon looks up and catches Joe's gaze. His face is seething in anger.

"Uhhh...Hi," the speedster states nervously and for all to hear. Even the armed men they are trying to avoid.

As Kid Flash runs off, and Joe's team is about to be discovered, Joe does the only thing can do.

He picks up the radio and says only one word. "Abort."

"Come again one-four-one?"

"Abort!" he shouts over the sounds of heavy gunfire.

His team then hastily makes their way back to the shore. They arrive nearly two hours later, after getting pinned down twice. They board the zodiacs as they cover their 'six. Avoiding the thousands of tiny pieces of lead that are being hurled at them.

They arrive back at the Pennsylvania. Once all of them are on board, the captain orders the convoy to pull out--for these ships are not supposed there either. For encroaching on the sovereign waters of a foreign nation is a high war crime.

The Director was not pleased that night. For not only did the team get discovered and nearly lose half their men, they also did not complete any of the mission's objectives.

Infinity Island

Joe and his team are about to disembark from their zodiacs, when a series of large explosions are heard--occurring on the far side of the island. Right after, a large group of heavily armed men jump out of the bushes and open fire on the twelve man team.

"Abort!" Joe shouts, as they turn the boats around.

They were supposed to rescue a kidnapped scientist and destroy whatever the League of Shadows had her working on.

The good news: The team managed to rescue the good doctor. They found her and Red Arrow fleeing the area in a rental speed boat. Joe commandeered the boat and took them both back to the Pennsylvania.

The bad news: Red Arrow failed to destroy her work. So now, Joe and his team have to hear another scolding from the Director.

Several rather violent confrontations between the Joe's team and Red Arrow occurred on the trip back to the mainland. They had to fly the doctor and the vigilante out to avoid any other problems.

But they were not the only people to dock in San Diego. Nooo. The Shadows tailed Joe's team to the headquarters building for Global Privatized Security--the company that provided the SEAL team.

The Shadows operatives deployed a fog filled with nanoscopic infiltrators on the building. The tiny machines only stopped when an large ElectroMagnetic Pulse (EMP) producing device was detonated. It was automatically deployed at the last minute--by the building's anti-air defense system--, with the building being a total loss. Said multistory structure collapsed into the street below.

The EMP also partially disabled the PMC's rapid response forces; meaning that the Shadows unit got away and they could not pursue them.

Once again, the Director was not pleased. But that did not mean he did not have a plan to deal with the League's new covert operatives.

He can just imagine the look on Joe's face when he finds out about his new reassignment.
