Arthur - 'Present-day'
Captain Kirkland - 'Pirate Era'
Alice stared into his green eyes, observing the desperate pain he was showing. He was weak, vulnerable in front of her.
"HELL NO!!" She screeched, not seeing him flinch, "Why in gods name would I become a filthy pirate, especially for you!!??? YOU KIDNAPPED ME!!" Alice kicked him swiftly in the leg, and when he buckled slightly, she shoved him out of the way and ran out the door.
The rickety wooden stairs were a few feet away, and she leapt up them with the grace of a drunken swan, stumbling over the top step but shoving the hatch open and racing across the deck. When the crew spotted her, they rushed for her, but Alice was nimble, her thin legs launching her off of the side of the ship.
She fell to the water, her body instantly tensing up at the sudden chill, and the saltwater invaded her eyesight. Oxygen escaped from her body but she surfaced, taking in heavy gulps of the air before swimming as fast as she could.
Not fast enough, it seemed, for Captain Kirkland had tied a rope to his waist and leapt off of the ship, splashing down into the water only inches behind her. She kicked out at him and pushed as much energy as she could into getting away, feeling him grab at her dress. But his rough hands snatched her ankle and jerked her back, and she choked as more water invaded her lungs. Squirming around, she found it near impossible to get the air she needed and escape- so she threw herself downward, swimming deeper into the murky water.
Alice would rather die than be a pirate.
Captain Kirkland wouldn't let it happen, however, following her down into the depths. He grabbed her by her waist as her body became sluggish, and swam up to the surface as her resistance became nothing more than a few small kicks.
There was little time to panic as he jerked on the rope and the crew pulled him to the surface; he placed Alice on the deck and looked at her, before shouting for the Doc to come up.
---------------
She awoke later that night, throat raw and head swimming with the beginnings of what would be an impossibly long migrane. Alice slowly lifted herself off of the bed, looking at the pirate who slept in the chair beside it, his hat pulled over his face.
She didn't try to escape, but she stood shakily and looked around- before blushing at the state she was in, wearing nothing but a loose, thin shirt that came down to midthigh.
"Yer clothes were soakin' wet." Captain Kirkland rumbled in a deep, tired tone, "So ah put ye in me shirt."
Alice didn't reprimand him, just nodded, croaking out a 'Thanks' as she sat back down. "....I-I owe you...." She rasped, looking at him. He smirked, nodding.
"Damn right, lass, Me coat's soaked." He put his hat on right and rested his chin on his hand, "So, do you know how I want you to repay me?"
"..Y-You want me...to be a p-pirate..." Alice said, and she nodded, "I-I'll do it...."
Captain Kirkland grinned mischeviously, "Great. Rest up, 'nd we'll start trainin' at sunrise." She was curious as to what training was, but more exhausted than anything, Alice crashed back into the bed, making him raise an eyebrow before pulling his hat back over his eyes.

"I don't care how long it takes, I want Alice back!!" Arthur slammed his hand upon the desk, and the Navy man who sat their flinched, then nodded. The blonde, British gentleman looked as if he wanted to murder someone, and he did.
He hated how similiar they looked, him and that pirate. He wondered what Alice was thinking at the moment. Did she think they were the same?
"Bloody Hell... That poor girl..." He said with his head in his hands. The Navy men were dismissed, the ships filled with soldiers, and the ports soon emptied of most of the Royal Navy's battleships that had been so unfortunate as to get caught up in Arthur's fit of rage.
He stood now, his back to the door and his eyes trained on the map that hung on the wall. One little pin was stuck in it, the place where the two ships had collieded and Alice had been taken.
"I'll get you back, Love. That I swear."
--------------
In the morning, Alice lifted her body from the bed and looked around warily. Just as she had, though, a bucket of seawater was tossed over her, soaking the bed and her. Arthur watched her head snap up at his, her green eyes burning hot. "Rise and Shine."
"Was that really nessesary?!"
"Ah think so." He shrugged, walking over to a chair and tossing a pile of clothing at her, "Change. 'Nd after that, meet me out on the deck."
When he disappeared from the room, Alice lifted up a very low cut, revealing shirt that had been beneath a heavy red and golden coat.
"NO WAY IN HELL!!!" Her voice echoed across the ship.
