Chapter 2

Vale's POV
We got into the car to get to the airport and I sat in the middle next to Kylie and Jack in the back of the cab. I was jamming out to Why Don't We's Perfect , when I felt a hand to my left grasp mine. Jack. I felt my heart beating so fast that I thought Jack could feel it. Kylie looked over at me and noticed I was more red than Rudolph's nose and smirked. Then she whispered in my ear,
"You guys would be so cute together."
I rolled my eyes, still holding Jack's hand, looked over at her phone and noticed she was stalking Daniels Instagram account. I whispered back,
"You focus on stalking your boyfriend and I'll focus on trying not to faint."
"HE'S NOT MY BOYFR-" Jack cut her off,
"Not if I faint first." He said blushing, and looking cuter than ever.
"I don't think that'll happen." I said, giggling. He smiled at me and we interlocked fingers and he gripped me tighter. I had never been happier. We stayed like that for the rest of the ride to the airport.
•••••AT THE AIRPORT•••••
It was 2:00 in the afternoon, and I was starving because I had eaten at 6:30. The flight had been delayed two hours because of rain.
"Kylie, Jack, I'm going to Starbucks you want anything?"
"I'll go with you, Kylie what do you want?" Jack said. My heart started beating again.
"I want a Very Berry Hibiscus, tall, thanks" she yawned.
"Ok, Vale let's go" He said. On our way to Starbucks, he took my hand in his, joint our fingers, and pulled my hand to his lips and kissed my hand. What was going on with him today? I loved it..but he had never acted like this with me. I looked at him and smiled; he smiled back, both of us as red as a beet. We got to Starbucks and he asked,
"Ok what do you want to drink?" He asked.
"I want a Caramel Iced Coffee...but i'm paying."
"Huh, pff ok, uh no you're not" He said laughing, and taking out his wallet.
"No, Jack for real stop, it's my treat." I said taking the case off my phone to get my money out. Then he looked me straight in the eyes and said,
"Valeria Genta, I'm paying." I laughed and said,
"Alright, baby" I didn't realize I said that and my stomach flipped.
"Baby?" He asked smiling, STILL holding my hand. I mumbled a small,
"Sorry" I looked down, embarrassed.
"It's alright, baby" He said and winked. I couldn't contain my excitement, I smiled, again. He bought me my coffee, bought himself a coffee, and bought Kylie's VBH. He held my hand as we ran back to our terminal because they called our flight. Kylie was there waiting for us and she noticed my redness and said,
"Tell me everything on the plane." My best friend knew what was up.
••••••ON THE PLANE••••••
"He kissed your hand?!" She asked
"Yes"
"Dude, he so likes you."
"I don't know, I think he's just being nice."
"He's never that nice without being completely in love."
"If he liked me, I would know."
"Well he does, and you obviously don't know."
"Ugh, go to sleep Kylie, you say stupid things when you're tired."
"Whatever you say Captain." She saluted and turned her head towards the window to fall asleep. Jack was seated in another row, so he couldn't hear us talking. The rest of the plane ride was peaceful because I had fallen asleep. I woke up to Kylie shaking my shoulder telling me to get up. LA was far from Miami, so it was a long flight. We got our bags, and went to walk to where Daniel would be to pick us up.
"How do I look?" Kylie asked while frantically fixing her already-perfect hair.
"Ew you look like you just came out of a dumpster." I said joking around
"No! What!? For real??!" She asked almost yelling
"No, you look great. Daniel will LOVE your outfit." She was wearing a Seavey 1/5 Why Don't We Tee.
"Oh, I didn't even realize that I was wearing it." She said smiling. We laughed. Jack slightly pulled me closer and whispered,
"I think Kylie likes Daniel"
I whispered back,
"Yeah I had a hunch" and I winked
"Damn you're cute" he winked back, and grabbed my hand and held it tight.
"THERES DANIEL!!" Kylie yelled.
"Lets go say hi" I said.
Daniel then saw us, and Kylie dropped her bags, ran and jumped on him.
Jack said,
"Yeah I think she does." Jack said, I laughed.

After we greeted each other, we got in the Uber and made our way to the Why Don't We house.
