Chapter 5

I woke up to the sound of the phone in my room ringing at like 4:30 AM.
"Hello?" I asked groggily.
"Hello? It's Daniella!"
"Um, hi Daniella.."
"Who is this?" She asked.
"My names Vale."
"Why are you in the WDW house?"
"Well because my frie-"
"I dont care..just let Baby Jack know that I'm coming back later tonight, and that I miss him ok? Ok."
"Uh sure."
"Thanks hon, bye!" And she hung up.
Daniella? Baby Jack? Whatever. I guess I'll go back to sleep and forget about it.

I woke up later at about 8:45 and went downstairs to see Jonah cooking some eggs.
"Hey J, need help?"
"Hey, uh, yeah if you don't mind could you start making the bacon?"
"Yeah of course." Then we stopped talking, but I wanted to know who this Daniella was.
"Uh hey Jonah? Who's Daniella?"
"Oh uh, she used to live here with us. She was probably the only girl who could've persuaded Jack to be her boyfriend."
"Oh. Did Jack, uh, like her or something?" I asked, becoming slightly concerned.
"Yeah I think so, they flirted a lot."
Crap. I thought to myself.
"Oh ok." I felt embarrassed. Jack liked this girl, and now she was coming back. And here I was, getting all close to him. Stupid.
"Oh no, but don't worry, she won't come back." He reassured me.
"Actually....she called this morning at like 4 and said she was coming back."
"What? For real?"
"Yeah, and she told me to tell "Baby Jack" that she missed him" I air-quoted.
"Oof, she called him that all the time."
"I'm so stupid. Damnit."
"You're not stupid why would you say that?"
"Because here I am thinking I have a chance with Jack, when this Daniella kid is coming back to win his heart again."
"He loves you Vale. He won't leave you like that." He reminded me. I hugged him,
"Thanks Jonah, I really needed someone to tell me that."
"Anytime." By this time all the boys started pouring in to eat their food. Jack kissed me on the cheek again, but I didn't react. He looked hurt but I felt worse.
"Hey Jack?" I asked.
"Yeah Vale?"
"Daniella called to tell you that she missed you and..."
"And?"
"She's coming back." By this time everyone looked at me and then at Jack and back and forth.
"So yeah, I guess be ready for her to come...?"
"Uh yeah, yeah for sure." He said frantically checking himself as if he was looking for something. I tried not to let the threatening tear fall, but it did. I hated it. I looked weak; I turned to hide it but it had already fallen and Kylie immediately shot up from her chair and hugged me, then she led me to her room, where I let it all out.
••••••AFTER BREAKFAST••••••
I came down fully dressed to go to the Grove to eat with the boys. I was still in a crappy mood but Kylie made me feel a bit better.

When I came down the last step, Jack stood up from his chair and put his hands around my wrists. I looked straight into his deep, brown eyes with the most serious face I could manage. I wasn't weak, so I wasn't going to come off as weak; not to him, or to anyone.
"Vale.."
"Jack."
"I promise. You're the only one I love. Daniellas coming back will change a little---no it'll change um, nothing. Her coming back will change nothing because I-I only love you. Yo-u and only you." He stuttered. I held his face and gave him a quick kiss.
"It's alright, baby." I said as coolly as possible. And I walked away towards the door. I turned around,
"You guys coming or what?" I smiled, hiding my emotions as much as possible. And they followed behind me.
•••••••AT THE GROVE•••••••
We walked to go to a restaurant called Fish Fin, which to my surprise was a steak restaurant. Kylie and I took a couple pictures, but no post-worthy ones. We went to go get ice-cream, when we noticed Zach talking to a gorgeous, yet younger girl. Zach seemed to be into the conversation and so did the other girl. It looked like they exchanged numbers and Zach had treated her to ice-cream.

"Guys, Vale, Ky, this is Skyler. Skyler Hawkins." Zach said while showing her off.
"Hey Skyler, nice to meet you, I'm Vale." I said while giving her a hug.
"Hey. Nice to meet you too." She said back. She was beautiful.
"Hey I'm Kylie. Nice to meet you." Kylie said to Skyler. She seemed shy and she gave her a small smile.
"Hey, I have to say you're absolutely gorgeous." I said to her.
"Aw thank you. But i'm nothing compared to you, you're beautiful."
"Thank you, you're so sweet." I said back to her.
"I gotta say Zach, you really won with her," Jonah said, looking her up and down, even though she was only 15.
"Ooook, let's get ice-cream Jonah." Corbyn said and we laughed.
"Zach, I uh gotta get going but thank you so much for everything. I'll call you." Skyler said, and kissed him on the cheek.
"Bye" he said while she was walking away.
"Damn she's so pretty." Kylie said.
"God I know right?" He replied.
"Aww look at Baby Zach, he's got a girlfriend." I said. But then I immediately thought, Baby Jack. Daniella was coming. It was 4:20 (hehe) and Daniella would be coming tonight. All the boys already came out of the ice-cream parlor,
"Guys, we should head home." I said to them, but only Daniel heard.
"What? why? It's still early-ish." He asked.
"Because, you-know-who is coming tonight and we gotta roll out the red frickin carpet for her." I said annoyed.
"Oh c'mon you'll like her." He insisted.
"Will I?" I asked.
"Nope. No. Not at all. Zilch. Zero. NADA. NO." He said.
"Figures." I said.
"I never liked her. So you can talk to me." I hugged him,
"Thanks Danny."
••••••LATER AT NIGHT••••••
*RING*
"Hello?"
"Hello? It's Daniella, I'm on my way to the house..Who's this?"
"It's Vale. I'll let the boys know." I replied sadly.
"Mmh ok. Tell Baby Jack that I'll make sure to satisfy him tonight. If you know what I mean." She said. That was it. I loved Jack. This wasn't going to happen.
"Um no sorry. I won't tell him anything, and no you won't 'satisfy' him tonight. Know why? Because Jack loves me. Not you. And I sure as hell love him back, and if the only reason you're coming is to satisfy YOURSELF, then you might as well turn that car right around. "
"EXCUS--" she yelled. But I cut her off.
"PEACE!" I told her, and hung up.
I came downstairs,
"Who were you talking to?" Jack asked.
"Oh, an old friend." I lied. Then Daniel pulled me aside,
"YOU REALLY TOLD HER OFF DIDNT YOU?!" He asked excitedly.
"Hell yeah I did." I laughed.
"Haha let's pray now." So I did as Daniel said, and prayed to God she wouldn't come.
