LUPINO CAVE. FIVE YEARS AGO.

"Watch where you step", a deep voice muttered echoing off the rounded cave's walls. This voice belonged to Darris Jackson, commander of Team Delta. Being the top hunter class in their league, this ten man team of highly experienced fighters often investigated the most dangerous of sites where werewolf sightings were supposedly in the hundreds.

However, ever since the team had been created, werewolf sightings and related deaths had dropped nearly 95%. Everywhere they went, Team Delta made sure the job was done right. Each man equipped himself with the preferred M14 assault rifle and pure-silver bullet rounds; the following able to bring down even the strongest of werewolves.

But not even walking ten steps, Darris raised his hand.

At once every man stopped dead in their tracks and searched around cautiously.

The sound of bones crunching could be heard deeper into the cave and with caution and quickness, Darris signaled for the men to assemble their guns quietly and efficiently. Turning around slowly, he looked at the scout that stood before him and nodded his head in the direction of the sound.

Specializing in stealth, the scout was the teams best chance at finding out what was making the noise with little chance of being discovered. However, this scout had only been training for a few days and had little to no experience in the field he had been assigned to and was bound to make mistakes.

Mistakes that would cost him his life.

Slowly inching forward, the scout edged himself around broken bones and dried blood and then took out his night vision goggles. Scanning the area, a figure about 10ft tall could be seen sitting on piles and piles of dead bodies. Zooming in further, he could see that many limbs had been torn off of the bodies and many more abandoned limbs were scattered about.

Gagging and holding his mouth, the scout backed away slowly not taking his eyes off the disturbing scene and not looking where he was stepping.

Realizing his fatal mistake a bit too late, a loud snap rang into his ears and throughout the cave. Looking down, his foot rested on the broken pieces of a large thigh bone. He looked up again to see the figure looking straight at him, it's head turned a bit sideways, a jagged smile across its face covered in dried blood.

The movement was swift.

Only a second passed as the figure pounced on the scout who's body was too stricken with fear to move. He didn't even have time to scream. Gouging into the soft neck tissue, the figure released it's jaws dripping with hot blood from the scouts neck and sniffed the air.

Grinning with it's blood-stained lips, the figure caught a scent in the air and with a quick movement decapitated the unmoving scout picking up its head. Looking down at the head and smiling, the figure turned it's body and started walking toward the group of hunters.
