Three against one. All support on both sides had been murdered along with the agent that was assigned to her. Valentina for the first time in her life was beginning to feel hopeless. In the glock 20 that she aimed at the three lycan was a full clip of nine silver-cased bullets.

Definitely not enough to bring down even one of the three originals that stood before her. "Be smart about this", she thought to herself and while still aiming the gun looked at her available options. The desert eagle on the floor in front of her, the aisles to her left, and the aisles to her right.

"Their are three lycans with nine bullets in the glock round. The silver desert eagle that laid on the floor also probably has around nine also", Valentina speculated,"18 bullets in all, 6 for each lycan, which will probably faze them for a few seconds at the most."

"Usually around 20 to 30 bullets, or a full assault rifle clip, are needed to bring down a full grown original lycan", she recalled to herself from the lecture Dr. Mito had given once. She had eighteen. Glancing to the left Valentina observed the aisles 1-3: gardening supplies.

Darting her eyes to the right aisles 4-7: car parts came into view. Gardening supplies appeared to be her best option. The only problem was getting the desert eagle that laid in front of her about 8 feet away.

As soon as she moved the three lycan would move most likely all at once and at full speed. "Lycans can run up to two times faster than any human. 80 miles per hour to be exact", the doctors voice rung in her head once more.

"I'll have to leave the gun, leaving me with only nine bullets for the three lycans, 3 each", she muttered and stared forward toward the three lycan that still hadn't moved, their red eyes taking her in as she analyzing an escape plan.

Three bullets wouldn't faze even the weakest lycan, let alone stop them. She would have to run straight toward the left faster than the three lycans could charge toward her. Looking up at the ceiling, Valentina scanned the top and rested her eyes on a large swinging light that sat above the three lycans.

She then looked back at the three lycans and with a single shot she shot the chain that connected the light to the ceiling. It had begun. Not sticking around to see if the light had hit the lycan Valentina darted to the left and turned sharply down aisle 2.

A few seconds after she had ran the sound of the  large light hitting the ground echoed through the store behind her. Not stopping to look back, Valentina burst through the aisle and slid around the corner that headed toward the door.

"Kill her!!", a voice roared on the opposite side of the store where one of the lycans stood pointing down at her. The other two lycans who started running behind her were gaining by the second as Valentina ran toward the exit.

The lycan that had been standing on the opposite side in front of her was now running toward her full speed. The two got closer and closer until at the last second she ran right toward aisle 3. The lycan ran straight past her and failed to stop before sliding into one of the other lycan.

"I'll kill her", the remaining lycan growled and turned into the aisle running after Valentina. Running by dozens of hedge shears, she suddenly stopped and faced the lycan that still kept running.

Aiming the glock, she breathed slowly and fired once at its right eye and once at its left. Each bullet whistled through the air and reached their target running straight through its eye balls and lodging themselves in the back of its sockets.

Red blood and clear fluid squirted out the holes where his eyes had been as Valentina grabbed a large pair of silver shears and dashed toward the lycan. Unable to see for the few seconds its eyes were gone the lycan waved its arms around wildly desperately trying to find a target.

When within range, Valentina lifted the large shears above her head and plunged them deep into the fleshy neck of the lycan who howled in pain. Blood poured from the wound dripping onto the floor as the lycan struggled to dislodge the shears that stuck out of his neck.

With a few tugs the bloodied shears fell to the floor with a clang and the lycan turned around behind him in hate to look at a running Valentina. By then she had turned the corner again and was running through the fourth aisle where Agent Nevada had disappeared.

Or so she thought. Dismembered and torn to pieces sat on the floor what was left of Nevada. The blood from the disfiguring wounds were still oozing out hot and thick blood as she ran past. Looking behind her Valentina saw two lycans chasing fast behind her. 6 bullets left.

Three for each lycan. She was on the aisle of tables saws now and quickly a plan formed in her head. But she would have to get extremely close. While still running she grabbed one table saw from the left and continued to run until she saw what was at the end.

A lycan stood at the end with a huge pair of garden shears in one hand with dried brown blood covering the lustrous metal. Stopping instantly Valentina drew her pistol and fired off 2 shot once more at the lycan who simply move to the side and started walking toward her.

4 bullets left. Turning head to the side, she fired off another two shots at one of the lycans that still ran toward her hitting them in the leg. The last two bullets she fired hit the other lycan.

Click. Click. Click.

The sound of the gun clip that was now empty made Valentina drop the gun in fear and turn back toward the lycan with the shears that was walking toward her. But behind him sat a large window that faced the black SUV that had been waiting for the groups return.

Resting on top of the cabin was the mini-gun with a single soldier behind it, seemingly barely able to stay conscious. The suit that he wore was tattered and stained red and he leaned forward on the gun.

"Get down Ms. Vale-." Before he could finish talking through the earpiece still in Valentina's ear the gun roared to life and tore through everything in its path including her. Instantly the glass that separated the store from outside shattered as numerous bullets fired into the store cutting through the lycan in front of her as well as  Valentina herself.

The two lycans that were behind her darted from the aisle and ran around the gun fire and proceeded toward the SUV where the dying soldier laid still holding the gun. "Die bitches", he said halfheartedly before tearing a grenade off his suit and pulling the pin right before the two remaining lycans ambushed him.

They pulled the remaining flesh from his body and tore him apart with their claws five seconds before the grenade exploded turning everything into a bright ball of fire. Valentina, who stood felt her knees buckle as she fell to the ground and laid on her back staring up at the ceiling.

Seven bullets had pierced her skin with four still buried in her lower abdomen and now she could feel it. Coughing up blood she sighed heavily as her vision became blurred and the world turned black.
