This poem is for my best friend. I lost him about a year and seven months ago... I hope you like it Steven

Your smile was a diamond in the rough

Born with a life so tough

Always fighting for freedom

But never in your own kingdom

Truths were always your friends

While lies were your enemies

The coldest day was the last day

He took one last breath before he lay

My life was never the same

I never knew it came

Till reality struck home

I was all alone

Hoping, praying to see him

My whole body was torn limb from limb

At the death of a best friend

His smile fills my dreams

Like a bunch of feens

His laugh rings through my ears

As I remember my greatest fears

Turned into reality

Come see me soon

Cause I sing a tune

Just for you

For the loss of a friend
