The Slytherin Nobody Expected

Chapter Three: Boyfriend?

Jade walked back into the common room, exhausted like normal. She could hear laughing, which was usual for a Friday evening in the Slytherin common room. She tried to walk briskly past the crowd of drunk dancing students.

She was almost at the girls dormitory when a deep voice slurred out, "Hey Jade! Come over here!" Jade winced as she turned around and saw Andrew and other people in Muggle clothes. "Someone get my friend a drink!" Andrew snapped and several people rushed forward with red plastic cups filled with firewhiskey. Jade gingerly took one and sighed. Jade didn't drink, for the last time she did was a nightmare. "Go change and come baaack." Andrew said drunkenly. "We wanna play a game but I'll make them wait."

"Fine," Jade snapped. "But I'm not gonna drink." Jade stomped back into the dormitory and changed into a plain set of Muggle clothes. She stepped back into the chatter of the common room and sat cross legged next to Andrew. "What are we playing?" she whispered to Andrew.

"Some Muggle game called truth or dare." Andrew was surely drunk now. It seems that the only person who wasn't drunk was Jade and an older boy sitting across from her. The older boy had long black hair. It reminded her of Sirius' hair, except the boy's hair was very oily. He was looking at her through his curtain of hair, staring. Jade didn't like him. Not one bit.

A few rounds went by of people answering embarrassing questions and doing petty dares. A girl who's name was Molly, had just finished chugging an entire bottle of firewhiskey and it was her turn to ask someone.

"Hm," Molly said looking around the room. Her face turned up when she saw Jade. "Jade, Truth or Dare." Everyone looked at Jade in silence. Jade thought for a moment. If she picked truth, then she might be asked a question about her sexuality or her life outside of Hogwarts. God forbid, her blood status.

Jade spoke up. "Dare." she said. Molly smirked and leaned back, pausing for dramatic effect. Jade rolled her eyes.

"I dare you to do Seven Minutes in Heaven with Severus." Molly exclaimed. The boy with the greasy hair stood up and walked over to the closet immediately. Something about him made Jade scared. Threatened even. But, a dares a dare. She slowly walked over to the closet, and stepped in. He stepped in behind her, and shut the door.

"So," Jade started. "This is kinda awkward." 

"I know who you are." He said slowly.

"I don't- I don't understand what you mean." Jade stammered. 

Severus took a step closer. "I know that you're a mudblood."

Jade shivered. "I'm not a mu-"

"Listen to me. You shouldn't be here. You shouldn't be anywhere in the wizarding world. And once the other Slytherins find out, you will be in hell for the rest of your school years." He said as he pinned her wrist to the wall. 

Jade was frozen. The thought of her blood status being told to everyone at the school, and her life being torn apart by one secret was so terrifying that he couldn't move. All she could do was scream.

 She heard the door being forced open and light flooded into the large closet. Jade saw Andrew storm in and he was frozen for a moment, his eyes attached to Severus' hand on Jade's wrists. Jade saw Andrew's normally cold blue eyes grow into something more. She has seen that look only one other time and that was when he was talking about his parents. It was a look of hatred.  Andrew grabbed the older boy by the shoulders and whipped him 'round and slammed him into the wall. Andrew slammed his fist into Severus' and kept going. Andrew pulled his face close to the older boy's.

Andrew looked him in the eye and said in a low whisper, "If you ever come near her or me ever again, you will regret it." Andrew threw him to the ground and Severus scurried up and out of the closet. Andrew approached Jade warily, and looked her in the eye. "Are you okay?" He said in a voice much softer than he used with Severus.
