Nicole Garcia Colace was a classy girl.
Naturally athletic,
effortlessly beautiful,
had all the money she desired.
A name for herself had already been established from her hard work and dedication to her passion of wrestling.
The man of her dreams was by her side, or at least the idea of him.
She almost had everything.

So why'd she risk it all
for a man she barely knew?
His dark, mysterious eyes intrigued her in every way possible.
They worked for the same company,
But for some reason,
they never spoke until after their first encounter.

It was a bright, Sunday afternoon in San Diego, California.
Not a cloud in the pearlescent sky.
She arrived at the arena by herself that day.
Her sister had been gone for a while now, preparing to be a mother.
With a coffee in one hand and a large suitcase in the other, she strolled her way over to the women's locker room, where she'd set down her things and prepare for her groundbreaking return to the ring.

She left soon after, finding the makeup chair and getting herself adjusted to sittting for an hour getting caked up to the brim.
That's when she saw him walk past.
He wasn't supposed to be here,
he wasn't even on this brand.
He shot her a quick glance, causing her to squint her brows.
"What're you doing here?" She asked the man, making him stop in his tracks. He simply shrugged at her.
"Just decided to show up."

She watched as he continued his way down the hallway. The woman who was blushing up Nicole's cheeks turned his way.
"Isn't he so desirable?" She asked, and Nicole shrugged her shoulders heavily.
"I guess so." She answered, her face relaxing at the touch of the soft brush hitting her cheek bone.
"I'm more of a Cena girl." Nicole told the woman with an obviously faked grin. But really, she hadn't been happy in that relationship for quite some time.

Nicole always thought that John would be the man she grew old with.
Have a few children, invest in a few stocks.
But now, she wasn't so sure.
She loved John, yes, but he wasn't acting the same.
Nicole would try and talk to him every day,
before he'd always contact her first, giving her lengthy and meaningful responses.
But now all she got was an "okay" and the occasional "love you too."
She understood that he was busy, but even before he had always made time for her.
She was slowly falling out of love with him.
And for some reason, she felt good about it.

Half an hour later, Nicole found herself sitting in catering with a few of her friends.
They were waiting for their match later on that night.
Nicole glanced over towards the corner of the room.
He was standing there with a few of his friends.
She could hear them joking from her chair in the middle of the room.
"Dude, you could totally get Vince to let you
come over here. He loves your ass!"

The superstar shakeup has just transpired, and he stayed on the RAW brand.
Nicole thought to herself, maybe that's why he's here, to convince someone on creative to let him come to Smackdown.
She had become intrigued with the situation, so she got out of her seat and slowly walked over to the three men in the corner.
"Hey, coming to the blue side?" She asked, alerting the boys in front of her. He shrugged her way, a slick grin came over his face.
"Hopefully, yeah. Since all my friends are here it'd be pretty cool."
She nodded at him, and turned around to leave.

Something about the conversation felt awkward to Nicole.
Usually she was great at talking to people.
Her bubbly personality and great social skills never failed to make a good impression with her peers.
Nicole never had a problem until now.
Until he came along.

The encounter between the two may have been the first,
but it certainly wasn't the last.
