My feelings mean nothing, right?

Holly was left to think over recent events during lessons. She didn't have a lesson with Leona at any point due to the difference in intelligence. Holly was smarter, but only by one set, so it's not like there was a massive gap between them. Holly sat and pondered, what do I do about her. There's something drawing me to her, but I can't put my finger on it. She thought about the time Leona grabbed her boob by mistake, and without knowing, began to bite her lip just as she had done in the yard. She snapped out of it quickly and began to look around, panicked, hoping no one saw. No one had, she breathed a sigh of relief and went back to thinking. Surely there must be something wrong with me. I'm not a lesbian, so what am I thinking being even remotely into her? It's not like she's a guy, even though she's more like a guy than a girl if Im honest, so, is it that? Am I attracted to her masculinity? No that's ridiculous. I can't be. It can't be right. It just can't. No it's not right, well, it does feel right. What am I saying? What's wrong with me? Am I losing it? It wouldn't surprise me. This school is a hellhole, so that must be it. I just need a break. Christmas is coming up soon. I can rest and recharge. But goddamn I want to be in bed with her. Wait what? Holly what are you doing? Yep. I've lost it. Oh well. This is where insanity starts I suppose.

Holly ran home after her lessons finished, hoping to not catch sight of Leona or Callum, as to not be reminded of the days events. Her house was only 5 minutes from school so she hoped she could get a clean run. The only problem was there was a back alley she had to go through to get home, where a group of older schoolboys hung around, smoking various things. Anything from tobacco to cannabis. She also noticed one would check her out whenever she walked past. The smell of cheap spirits and smoke was everywhere around them, meaning she had to hold her breath as to not vomit. As she walked carefully through the alley, she felt a hand rest on her shoulder. She bolted still and upright, due to not seeing anyone in the alley beforehand. She didn't dare turn around, because she didn't know exactly who, or what, had just placed it's hand on her shoulder. Then a deep male voice said "what's the matter love? Did I scare you?" Holly didn't do anything as a self preservation mechanism, but soon found herself thrown into a wall.

"Don't you know it's rude to ignore people? Even if you are gorgeous, I won't settle for that. Now, be a good girl and kiss me." Holly was paralysed with fear, she just closed her eyes, and hoped for a miracle, by that meaning her attacker would just drop dead. Instead, she got something she could have never seen coming.

Someone had grabbed the hair of the guy attacking her, holding his head just out of range of her face. Holly couldn't see them but recognised the voice immediately. "Ok, you dirty bastard. Back up, before I toss your ass onto your head." It was Leona. She had seen the whole incident transpire from the outside as she walked home the same way, unknown to Holly. The attacker, who was quite obviously drunk, turned to fight Leona. With her being a girl he assumed she would be easy to take on and beat. He was wrong. He ran at her and she ducked out of the way, established a hip connection and threw him over her body, with him landing on the back of his head and neck. He was out cold immediately due to the force he had been thrown with, which initially scared the girls as they thought he had died. They then noticed his shallow breathing patterns. "Well, that was somewhat close. Don't worry love. I've got your back." Leona laid her hand on Holly's shoulder, and smiled sweetly. Holly looked away shyly, not knowing what to do. Then Leona kissed Holly on the cheek, catching her massively off guard. "Follow me. I wanna show you something" Leona giggled as she grabbed Holly's hand and skipped away merrily. Holly wasn't thrilled to say the least.

After walking for what felt like an age, Holly found herself at a lake. It wasn't big, possibly only 25 feet wide at its widest, but was rather pretty all the same. There wasn't much wind in that area due to the tall trees shielding it, so the water rested calmly only forming waves at the turning of a fish. Holly sat back to admire the beauty of the sun reflecting off the water, a beauty she could only liken to Leona... what was she saying? She was losing it so much, that she began to laugh. She was cackling in what she felt was insanity. Leona walked over from where she was sat, and placed a hand on Holly's shoulder. She immediately felt at ease. There was something about her touch that relaxed her. She didn't know what, but it was powerful. More powerful than anything she had ever felt in her life. She sat down, put her head in her hands, and began to sob. Leona sat next to her and stroked her hair. Whispering quietly to her, asking what was up. Holly could only reply "I'm confused." Leona replied with "don't worry. We all are. You'll find yourself soon. Just like I did. I promise. Let's get you home now. I don't want your parents to worry." Holly only nodded and she rose to her feet and began to walk home. Then she knew. She wasn't confused. She was in love. She was in love with Leona.
