Hope giggled as the lyrics to the song came on. She listened to it carefully before beginning to hear it again so you nodded, abandoning the half made cookie dough to find you laptop and get the song on.

Three hours of the song on replay and the Mikaelsons' came home to you and Hope dancing erratically around the living room, even miming out a little routine for the chorus.

"From my laboratory in the castle east To the master bedroom where the vampires feast." Hope sang through a gasped giggle and mimed out little fangs with her fingers. "Dad!"

"What would you two be doing?" He asked with amusement and you blushed a little as Hope shrugged.

"Dancing." She hurried to drag Freya and Rebkah over as the chorus started and insisted that everyone join in.

When Hayley came home she found the entire house almost vibrating with the song while Hope sang with you at the top of her voice, the entire Mikaelson family dancing along, even Klaus has a smile on his face.

"Do I have to listen to this awful song too?" She asked with a smile and you glanced at Hope who nodded and showed her the dance you'd come up with.

After that it became Hope's song, much to the irritation of the household who were sick of hearing the tune but found the delighted smile Hope beamed as she danced irresistible. More often than not you'd sing along with her, on several occasions you'd been caught humming the tune to yourself and it quickly became associated with you as well as Hope.

Rebekah's eyes watered as the familiar song started to play. She hadn't heard it in years and now, on the night when everyone was gathering together it was as if you'd joined them as well.

"Haven't heard this for years." Kol muttered, leaning on the balcony as he overlooked the quarter with his sibling and took her hand in his.

"Hope stopped listening to it after... Well, it almost feels like she's here doesn't it?" she asked him and smiled when Klaus and Elijah joined them.

"Our (Y/N) wouldn't want us moping around on her favourite holiday." Klaus chuckled and glanced over to the room behind them when Hayley entered, followed by Hope, several starry eyed children and a forlorn looking werewolf who still eyed Klaus nervously.

"She would want us happy." Freya muttered from the doorway and smiled when she was embraced in a big hug.

"Grandpa!" The smallest child gasped happily and ran to Klaus who scooped her up. "This songs silly."

"It's a very special song!" Klaus declared and decided after years of the song no longer being associated with your happy memories that he would teach his grandchildren your dance.

Freya smiled when she swore she saw you out of the corner of her eye laughing and clapping as the children danced to the music before you were suddenly gone.
