Nov 27th, 2016 – Sunday, week 47
''Dear diary,
I spent the whole week being nervous about my date with Maggie, and working. Turned out I had nothing to be nervous about. I've spent my days thinking Maggie's perfect, and I was right, she is.
Friday night, at 8pm she picked me up outside my building. I asked her so many times where we were going, but she said it was a surprise. We arrived outside a huge building. Inside the building there was a huge room, with one table, two chairs and dinner for two prepared. What a romantic, huh? Did I mention the music playing in the background?
We ate, drank, laughed and talked all night. After our romantic dinner, we went back to her place. Back at her apartment she had prepared a romantic setting. She had decorated her apartment with roses on the floor, candles and wine. It was just too good to be true, and the other stuff that was too good to be true, was too good to retell.
Waking up the next morning with my arms wrapped around Maggie's waist, is the best feeling I've ever felt. It's better than trying pizza for the first time. And could have stayed there forever.
Did I mention she's perfect? When I got dressed, she put her t-shirt on and ran into the kitchen, and made us both coffee and breakfast. Even though we didn't really have time to eat or drink.
I said I wanted it to be special, and it was. It was amazing. But something I realized during this whole date was that I didn't need candles and roses for it to be special. I just needed her. I know that I can't imagine my life without her in it. And it's weird. I haven't known her for that long, but man I feel like she is someone I missed, and when I found her I felt whole again. I feel whole again. What I'm trying to say is that, I think I found my soulmate. Sounds weird, doesn't it? Not to me.
Maggie, the date was perfect. And have I mentioned that so are you.
-Alex''
