Whenever Louis was around Harry, his breath was caught in his throat. It was different from before, where his throat would clench due to excitement. When he was breathless because he was in love. Now his breath caught in his throat because he was scared that he would get yelled at again. He winced at the idea.
Louis felt so broken.
He just wanted Harry again. He wanted their cuddles and giggles and stares. He stared at Harry, with a bandana in his hair, keeping back his curls. His eyes were still very green, and Louis was still very in love.
It was too late for the two of them anyways.
Harry was laughing with two of the 5 Seconds of Summer boys, Luke and Calum. The two were very clingy, and had their arms around each other.
Louis chucked. He knew exactly what Luke and Calum were feeling. He remembered he and Harry were like that. When he and Harry had their arms around each other, huge grins, butterflies in their stomach.
"Harry!" Louis whined.
"What Lou?" Harry whined back.
"Cuddle with me!" Louis pouted. He wanted his Hazza. Before he knew it, the couch sunk a little, signifying Harry had come. He turned to face Harry, and giggled.
"Hi," Harry said, giggling.
"Hey," Louis replied, giggling some more.
Louis was quite happy, and continued to cuddle the curly haired boy, butterflies fluttering.
Louis noticed something else. Luke looked a little uncomfortable. Just the tiniest bit. You wouldn't even notice. Unless of course, you felt that little bit of uncomfortableness. Yet again, his breath caught in his throat.
He wanted to scream. Luke liked Calum. It was too easy to see. Louis understood the feeling though. Because Louis knew the backlash.
"Harry," Louis said softly.
"Get away from me Louis!" Harry screeched in reply. Louis tried to hug Harry, but all he got was, "Don't you dare touch me!"
Louis just stared at Harry then, and watched him sob. Louis was heartbroken. Very heartbroken.
"Harry, I love you," Louis said softly.
"Then why don't you tell the boys? Or your own mum?" Harry hissed. Louis flinched.
"Please don't hate me," Louis begged, still in a soft tone.
"I could never hate you," Harry said.
After that, Louis and Harry were not the same. Harry backed into a shell, and for a short period of time, Harry didn't talk to Louis. Louis tried, but he couldn't. He couldn't deal with the fact that no one would accept his love for his best friend.
Louis was broken.
