I walked throught the city streets on patrol frustrated that i could not stop thinking about Kalia. Was she my mate? Did she feel the way i felt about her? What do i you say to someone who you like but at the same time you want to kick the crap out of them? This was my main dilemma i didnt know what to you but i know i was feeling very stupid for wasting my time, assumin the fact that she wasnt thinking about me.
Once again my thought got the best of me to the point where i didnt see the guy coming at me from the side. By the time i realized this it was too late. He had grabbed me and slammed me against the wall.
"Give me your money!!" He barked his breathe smelling of alcohol.
"Money?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Yeah! Did i stutter?" He grinned sinisterly producing a blade from his pocket. "I dont want to hurt a kid like you" He hissed pressing the blade against my neck.
Adrenaline surged through my body. He must be crazy! I kneed him in the stomach so hard he raised up off the ground, then a followed with a powerful right hook to his jaw. He staggered to the side dazed.
"Hows that for a kid?" I growled putting up my gaurd.
"Mmmmmm another slayer" He laughed turning around smiling and revealing his fangs "This is gonna be fun!" He came barreling at me i side stepped and brought my knee into his torso again and slammed my fist into his spine.
"Umphackkkk!!!!" He knelt down again gagging. Im guessing my strength took him by surprise.
I backed away with my guard raised "You know you dont have to do this, You leave and ill let you live." I told him
He climbed to his feet "You...let me live? You? Let?" He laughed again "Im just warming up" He threw himself at me again.
I jumped into the air and gave him a hard kick to the chest sending him stumbling back, before he could recover i was on him throwing 2 strong upper cuts and a nother kick to the chin. He hit the dirt fast asleep.
I grabbed his feet and pulled him down an alley where i staked him.
I turned around and there she was, Kalia. She looked at me and I at her. Then she opened her mouth. "You're a slayer? Why didn't I see this? I can't believe I let you get under my skin and everything, and it turns out you are a damn slayer!"
I didn't really listen to her that much. " So who's stalking who now?" I asked with a manaical laugh.
Kalia looked at me and said "Shut up! I have had a horrible day because of you. If you think for one second I'm just going to willy nilly have sex with you then you have another think coming!" She lunged at me with fists, surprising me when she knocked me off my feet.
I stared up stunned. Completely stunned.
Kalia's Pov
I looked down at Syn as he lay there looking up at me with a confused look on his face. I could'nt help but want to help him up and express my love but I was too angry with him to pay that any attention.
"Are you done?" He asked in a low growl moving to stand up.
"Did I say you could move?" I barked placing my foot on his chest.
With a yell he grabbed my foot and twisted it to the side causing me to lose my footing then he kneeed me in the back sending me forward. I stumbled away from him and caught my balance whirling around to finish what i started but with the quickness he was up and in my face swinging a powerful haymaker with his left hand that connected with my cheek and spun me around, another strong kick to the back and I was on my hands and knees breathless. Finally i got up from the ground and turned around again throwing a wild punch. I was suprised went my hand cut through empty air. I looked around he was gone or so i thought because I heard a sound from the alley. Whipping my head up i saw Syn as he climbed the fire escape.
"Hey where are you going?" I yelled up as i ran over and grabbed the ladderand began climbing up.
Syns pov
Am i gonna have to hurt this girl again?
I climbed to the top of the ladder quickly and flipped over the other side. I heard her ask me something but i paid that no mind. I took my stance in the middle of the rooftop waiting for her to appear.
I spotted Kalia as she flung herself on to the roof. " You know...you can always leave." I suggested honestly not wanting to beef with her anymore.
"Leave? Me? No! I'll leave after i kick your ass!" She yelled putting up her gaurd.
"Well dont talk about it." I hissed bracing myself.
"Die you son of a bitch!!!" She howled charging at me her eyes aglow with rage.
Kalia came at me throwing punches and kicking at me. Once again i dodged every lick, side stepping a landing a hook on her chin. It amazed me that she didnt give up. Instead she gave me an even harder lick to the face that put me in a daze.
"Aaaaarrghhhhhhh!!!!" She roared jumping into the air and kicking me in the chest.
I staggered back gripping my chest amazed at how strong she was. I wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth. "Impressive" I said cooly putting my gaurd up and coming back in. I threw a straight jab to her stomach and she knelt down grabbing me around the waist. To my suprise the minx clipped my legs and dropped me on my back with her on top of me. The punches rained down hard on my face and chest. i blocked what i could, kicking my legs up and wrapping them around her neck i yanked her backwards off of me and i slapped her on the ass as she rolled to her knees. I grinned wickedly at her.
With another yell she lunged at me. I brought my foot up an connected with her chin.
Kalia's Pov
My head snapped back as Syns foot connected with my chin the momentum knocked me flat on my back, I shook my head to clear the cobwebs. I couldnt believe the son of a bitch slapped me on the ass. Talk about being cocky!!!. The next thing I knew Syn was standing over me pulling me to my feet by my collar.
"Are you done?" He asked shaking me. " I dont want to fight you anymore, cant we be friends or something?"
I replied by spitting a mouthfull of blood in his face.
"You are something else you know that?" He wiped his face and let go of my collar.
He began to walk to the ladder. I ran at him and jumped kicking him in the back. He stumbled forward almost over the edge of the building.
I grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back, elbowing him in his lower back. He spun around and grabbed my arms taking me down to the ground quickly. i lay there looking up at him as he knelt over me.
Syns Pov
I Dont want to fight you anymore Kalia" I growled held her arms fast, pinning her to the ground I looked deep into her eyes. "Where has that got us? Huh?" I asked releasing my grip.
She panted hard but held my gaze the fire in her eyes simmering down.
She opened her mouth to speak but i didnt give her the chance. I leaned in and kissed her deeply on the lips. My tongue searched sweet mouth. I didnt want the moment to end. But i broke the one sided kiss and got up looking back over my shoulder as i lept down from the roof and hit the ground running
