Harry ended up in Washington allright.

Washington DC! Dam that child of Hermes!

Grumbeling The Boy Who Lived dragged his suitcase in his lefthand and held his owlcage (with Hedwig in it) in his right.

The Magical Washington DC looked stunning and put London to shame. The portkey area had nice greek collums not even yellowed by being outside.
The tiles at the grund made a perfect mosaic picture of america with all the large magical settlesments in America highlighted in neonyellow.
A sign at one of the collums said Welcome to Washington DC- we hope you like your stay

Thats how Harry knew that he was in Washington DC and not in Washington State.

After he had dragged his suitcase all over the Washington verson of Diagon Ally (much nicer looking than London) he whent to Gringotts.

The American Gringotts was wery much alike Londons but it was packed with witches, wizards and other creatures that clearly had more rights than in England.

Harry whent to a mashine and got his number, D69.
After a lot of whaiting his number was displayed on a board and wich counter he was to go to.

He whent to counter number 2 where a house elf in a suit sat in a highchair.
The suit was a regular black but with golden lining and a bronce nametag had the name Spock on it.

"How may Spock help you?" said the elf in a squeaky voice. These elves had clearly better vocablulary than Dobby.
"I would like to take some money from my british vault since I was unable to do so before I left. Is that possible?" of course Harry would forget his money in another country.
"why yes you only need to show me your key so I can check if its goblinmade. The tunnels of Gringotts have portals to England so no problem."

After it was proved that Harrys key was not copied Spock called after a goblin named Hookfang to drive the minecarts to his vault.

After Harry got his money he looked over DC Ally. Now it was time to fly to the right Washington.
