Anna knew at the moment she saw the man's eyes flicker black that he was a werewolf. She sighed. She had her fair share with them and the last thing she needed was another person after her. She ignored him hoping he would do the same, she was only a human after all.
She quickly ran past him and went to her office, the dull white doors reminding her that she still had a lot of work to do. She sat on her desk and waited for her client, organising it a bit so it doesn't look so messy.Luck didn't seem to be on her side today, as a minute later he came in.
"Mason James" he introduced himself, offering his hand. He looked so confident and full of himself, and that was something she admired in a man. He was one of the rare few who caused your submission with one look, but Anna wasn't about to give it to him.
"Anna. Anna Smith" she answered and extended her hand, while looking at him right in the eye. He noticed this action and grinning, he looked at her admiringly, not at all bothered by her dominant exterior. He took his time to observe her, but, unfortunately, was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Mr James, Ms Smith" Jackson Walkers greeted, walking in and Mason cursed under his breath, annoyed. The old man had interrupted a moment with his mate, after all.
"Ms Smith, I would like to see you in my office later" he continued and left the room, leaving the two of them alone again.
Mason continued looking at, blown away. His mate was flawless. He'd stare at her all day if he could.•••
"Mr James, are you listening?" asked Anna, clearly annoyed by the lack of this man's interest on the conversation. He was there for work, not staring at her, and very creepily at that.
"Yes, yes ofcourse Ms Smith, excuse me" he grinned awkwardly, "I agree with you, but it seems that it's already noon. I'm going to grab a bite, would you do me the honor to accompany me?" he said smiling softly.
"Ah, I would love to, sir, but I really need to see Mr Walkers, maybe another time?" she denied kindly.
"Oh, nonsense, I'm sure Jack wouldn't mind you taking a lunch break", at least he hoped he wouldn't. But to be safe, he mind linked him.
Jack, Anna is my mate, I'm gonna be taking her for lunch, he announced, not bothering to wait for a reply. He was, after all, the alpha.
