The next morning was all kind of a blur to me.
I remembered what happened last night, but for some odd reason my body had been moved from the place I'd fallen asleep in.
I blinked my eyes heavily. Letting them adjust to the brightness of the loft lights above me. I had been placed on Derek's bed, but. Where were the twins? "Relax. You're fine Stiles!" I heard from beside me, causing me to flip over feverishly "oh....why aren't you laying down?" I asked, seeing Aiden's form leaning up against the wall "I can't lay anymore. I need to do something!" He called back, turning his head to the couch area where we both heard muffled moaning. "How long has he been out?" I asked softly, seeing as Derek dozed off on the couch "since three. That's when I got up and found you" Aiden replied, smiling weakly.
Something about Aiden had changed. The rough and tough side was showing signs of break down and kindness showed through madly. "Where's your brother?" I asked, sitting up from my laying position to rub my matted hair. "He went out to get breakfast, since we haven't ate for less than two days" Aiden whispered, watching as Derek stirred and blinked his eyes slowly "Scott never came back did he?" I asked, not really wanting to know the answer to my own question "yeah! He did, but that was after I laid you down" Aiden replied, leaning himself up off the wall as Ethan's bike was probably heard from below.
I smiled and pulled out my cell phone. Scott had called me like sixty times and had left like ten messages, all in which saying he'd come get me in the morning.
"You want anything? We got extras" Aiden's voice snapped me from my thoughts "uh....nah" I replied, watching as the two brothers hug each other before heading off to the table to eat. "Well your up early!" Derek called before me, taking a seat at the bottom of his bed "yeah well.....I've got my reason" I replied, smirking as Scott's form appeared in the loft doorway "he's alive!" He called over to us, making me and Derek chuckle "well duh!" I muttered, getting up to stumble and punch him playfully. "Hey I'm just stating the obvious" he wined, holding his arm closer to his chest "yeah but I ain't funny. Not right now at least!" I replied, hinting with guilt in my voice.
At this point, Scott chose not to speak anymore. We couldn't blame him, he just wasn't thinking clearly when he said it. "You two need to be heading out. After the two idiots back there finish eating, Peter will have to erase Aiden's memory of the fight" Derek spoke, rising from his position to nod at Scott before disappearing into another area "let's go" I huffed.
Neither of us wanted to leave, especially me. Scott told me it was probably because I felt guilty, that this whole thing would soon blow over and that I'd eventually be fine. "You still in the car?" His voice pulled me away from my thoughts "huh?" I asked back, not hearing what he said "are you....still in.....the car!" He said slowly "yeah.....and don't baby me!" I huffed at him, hearing him scoff as he pulled into my driveway "I wasn't. Just trying to make sure you heard me" he replied back, glaring at me as he exited the car.
I didn't mean to sass. My head was just spinning in all different directions and neither of which, I could handle. "Scott. Wait!" I called after him "I'm sorry. I'm just really messed up right now" I added, making him halt on his bike "Stiles it's ok! Just go get some rest, we have school coming up in a couple days" he replied, smiling at me as he started his bike and drove off.
If I was going to try and go back to normal, then I'd have to change and not just change. Forget the past.
