•Chapter 17: Bad Dog!

Ariana's POV

I look up from my bowl of cereal and look at the person in the seat next to me to see George looking at me with his famous Weasley grin edged on his face. He makes me smile just looking at him.
"You ok?" I ask him. He nods leaning in and whispers, "Ariana you listening?".

This statement causes me to knock out my daydream. I look round to see the order members present looking at me. I look towards Mr Weasley who was talking and asks if I was listening.
"Sorry. Excuse me" I say before pushing my seat back and exiting the kitchen. All eyes follow my figure as I leave until I shut the kitchens door. I lean on the wall next to it, slid down and hug my legs to my body.

It's been about a month since I went to Hogsmeade to meet George and since then our friendship, if you can call it that, has been dwindling. The letters continued for a while but they were more forced than normal. Plus, the girl at Hogsmeade I've discovered is named Angelina. She's spends alot of time with the twins but it seems she spends more with George.

Dad and Remus have noticed my mood change since the trip. I haven't been doing much in the order except planning and I don't really pay attention in my lessons anyone, not that they happen often now either.

I get knocked out my thoughts again when the door to the kitchen squeaks open and lots of order members filter out. Many nod at me as they leave, others didn't even acknowledge me. I roll my eyes at them, they don't like that a teenager has inside access to the order. I eventually get off the floor and head back in to the kitchen to find everyone but a few people had gone. The people remaining were my dad, Remus, Tonks, Moody, Mr and Mrs Weasley and Kingsley.

I smile at them before heading towards my seat again. However, just before I got there dad said, "Oh Ari there's a letter for you over there" and proceded to point at letter next to Tonks. I walk over and pick up the letter. Within two seconds of seeing the handwriting I knew exactly who it was from. I rip off the string that keeps the parchment rolled up and unroll it.

Ariana,
How are you? I've been good. Got a few detentions, hung out in areas of the castle that aren't allowed, the usual. We all miss you, are you sure you can't come out to another Hogsmeade weekend, it was a shame you couldn't come last time. I hope you do, I really want you to meet Lee and Angelina-

I chuck the letter down on the table and storm out the room.

Sirius's POV

I watch Ariana throw the letter down and storm out the room and up the stairs. Luckily my mother doesn't start yelling at that.
"What was that about?" Kingsley asks the room. Tonks reaches over and grabs the letter only to have it taken from her hands by Remus.
"Hey!" She exclaims at him.
"It's none of our business so no looking. That's means you too Padfoot" Remus states looking at me.
"What?" I fake inccocence, "I would never". He gives me a look.
"Fine. Fine I won't. But I am going looking for her". I get up and head out the room to find Remus following. We search the bottom floor till we find her in the lounge staring into the fire.
"Hey cub. You okay?" Remus says walking into the room.
"Not really" her voice cracks.
"Come here" I announce and she comes running into my arms for a hug.

"Wanna tell us what this is about?". She eventually nods her head and I lead her to the sofas. She begans talking about how she thinks her friendship with George is gone and that she's been replaced by a girl called Angelina. She continues on about how she thought George liked her and being confused about her feelings. At one point she slips up and says, "and it didn't help that we nearly kissed before he went back". I almost said something but a look from Remus told me to stay quiet. After she had finished and we sat in silence for while going over her words.
"Well Ari, I think what the problem is you both are over thinking everything" I say to her.
"Really?" She questions.
"Yeah. Just because someone kissed his cheek does not mean he's in a relationship" Remus explains.
"Yeah?".
"Yeah. See watch this" I say before launching myself at Remus and try to kiss his cheek. This resulted in us running round the room shouting at eachother.

"No".
"Come on Moony one kiss".
"NO! BAD DOG!"
"LOVE ME".
"NEVER".

As we ran round the room we heard Ariana's laughter fill the room. I grin and run faster as I know I've cheered up my daughter.

George's POV

I tie the letter for Ariana on one of the schools owls leg before watching it disappear into the distance. I think about how our friendship had pretty much gone in the last month. Apparently she didn't come to Hogsmeade as she had a order mission but I don't fully believe it, mostly because of the letter her dad sent me the same day. I still don't know what I did.

My thoughts get disrupted by someone saying my name behind me. I turn to see Angelina placing a hand on my arm and smile at me.
"You okay?" She asks. I nod and give her a half smile.
"Sending a letter?" She asks. I nod my head again at her stupid question. I know Angelina's a good friend but she does ask some stupid questions.
"You know, I noticed over the holiday you didn't write much. We usually write loads, what happened Georgie?" I cringe at that nickname. Only person that calls me that is my mum...and Fred but that's just to annoy me. However, Angelina started calling me it this year and trying to hold my hand or arm all the time.

"No reason" I push her hand off me and head back towards the castle. As I left I didn't notice her hurt expression as my mind was too busy thinking about fixing my friendship with Ariana.
